Foot Fetish vs. Tickle Fetish

Okay folks, the secret society thread has got me thinking. I have a question for those of you with a foot and tickle fetish. Which one do you find more acceptable to the "normal" population out there?

In my personal experience with girls in North Florida (Bible Belt), they tend to accept the foot fetish better than the tickle fetish. In general, the foot fetish is seen as "strange", while the tickle fetish is seen as "perverse, wicked, or evil".

From my experience, it seems that tickling is automatically identified with sadism and torture. I had two girlfriends that I would lightly tickle on their feet, both of which referred to my behavior as a desire to torture them. I can assure you that this was not all-out sadistic tickle torture, yet the term "torture" was applied to it. It seems that having a foot fetish is one thing (something to be giggled at), while having a tickle fetish is something much darker to most girls, akin to sexual torture.

While I believe intense tickling can be torture, I draw a very distinct line between playful tickling and torture tickling. However, in this area of the country it seems that any interest in tickling automatically throws up lots of red flags. In fact, one girl's mother told her that my foot and tickle fetishes made me prone to rape. Such leaps of illogic are hard to swallow.

In conclusion, while I do not feel like my foot fetish is a secret society (just an innocent but weird interest), I truly feel that my tickle fetish is a secret society that is really looked down upon as taboo. I have much better luck giving girls foot massages and pedicures than I do tickling their feet. In my experience, tickling meets with disgust and anger, which makes me feel just as marginalized as the "gay" community. In fact, while I have been able to share my foot interest with significant others, I have never been able to share my tickle interest. I could tell that the response would be quite negative. Any comments would be most appreciated.

Been caught in that loop hole before.
I think for most of my life I thought I was a foot fetish guy because I loved seeing women's feet tickled. And since there was no such thing as a tickle fetish (what an ignorant kid I was!) I made it a foot fetish in my head.

Now, I like women's feet but only for the thought of their soles, tickling their soles. So dangling and barefoot situations probably drive me mad as it does a regular foot guy but for different reasons.
I don't like toes, I don't think of jamming toes in my mouth so then I'm back to being a tickle fetishist. Thankfully I grew to love underarm tickling and a little interest in the ribs but you want me to utterly drop to my knees... ticklish bare feet will do it.

So from my experience with ex-girlfriends and female friends with foot fetishes vs tickling?
Most every gal thought licking or sucking toes was "perverted" or "yuk!!!!!!!!!!!" so tickling for me was easy (granted 80% of the girls I've got to tickled weren't ticklish on their feet). :frown:

I've been trying to get the interest of a female co-worker of mine (for a date) and I just got around the subject of feet. Casual and I didn't throw it out of the blue. I asked her, what she thought of foot guys. Her face turned sour and she said foot guys are so gross! She then asked, don't tell me you're one of them? I laughed and replied, "Nope, I like to massage and tickle them."
She replied "good". But then the door was wide open and I asked further, "Are your feet ticklish?" She replied yes and then I went for it. "So... if I was your boyfriend, you'd let me tickle your feet whenever?"
She said, "yes I would but as long as you weren't on my feet all the time." I smirked and said, "cool...".

Still working on her but I guess where I'm from, foot guys are "so weird" and foot ticklers are more "kinky fun & cute" from my experience.
But then am I foot guy cuz I like tickling their soles with my tongue?

I don't know if it's more accepted, but it's definitely better known. When I revealed my fetish to the few people who know, they were surprised to even learn of such a thing at first. Pay an inordinate amount of attention to people's feet and eventually someone may start to suspect you have a foot fetish. Tickle or mention tickling frequently, even what you consider might be abnormally frequently, and most people would still think nothing of it (maybe not nothing, but they wouldn't assume fetish).

I agree. If you asked most people to name a fetish, foot fetish would probably be named more than any other. But a lot of peopl ahve never heard of a tickling (fetish, interest, fill-in-blank) or will tell you that it's not that common. Foot fetishes at least get mentioned. Most people know such a thing exists. We all know how we all felt before the internet, when we thought we were the only one.
