I noticed the other day that a young lady was wearing only one sox, for she was wearing clogs and there was a small portion of heel showing on one foot. I mentioned it to her. She muttered something about the mall that didn't make sense to me so I dismissed it.

Hours later, I thought how this could be a clever way of discovering who might be a foot fetishist. After all, who else would notice?

What you have to to remember is that everyone else is as self-centered as you are. No one spends any time contemplating Quentin Tarantino or Rex Ryan's foot fetish unless they themselves have one.

Also, simply liking to tickle feet (barefoot or otherwise) doesn't mean you have a foot fetish. It may mean you are disturbed in some way, but most people who have genuine foot fetishes (without tickling) are obsessed with licking and smelling feet, and having feet rub them between their legs; they can't really get aroused otherwise. That's why it's a fetish... they can't really get aroused otherwise.

Simply being appreciative of a pair of bare legs or bare feet does not mean you have a fetish.

Many shoestores in the mall require a person who is barelegged (or barefoot in sandals or clogs) to put on a sock when trying on a pair of heels. (It is usually not required to try on both shoes unless you have really different-sized feet.)
