I have a few I can share. I know they are on the "do not post" list but the website has disappeared so my reasoning is no one is losing out on profit since no one can buy them.

I asked a moderator but got no reply so I'll try this instead.

If they no longer in business, there is no reason why you shouldn't. However, the copyright owner may still have made a request to not post any material. So, I think you are better of waiting for an "official" answer.

If the producer is on the no-post list, then you can't post their material here.

Edit to add: The problem is that US copyrights are valid for 75 years, so we could theoretically be accused of infringement if the producer has specifically asked not to be posted here, even if their company is no longer in business. I realise that it doesn't always make sense, but the law is the law, so we're obligated to uphold it.

I'm not here to entertain you. My job is to explain the rules and ensure that you obey them.

If you don't know where a clip is from, you may post it. If someone recognises it as being from the no-post list, we will delete it.

I'm not asking for entertainement, although somehow I don't think I would find you entertaining with that attitude anyway. Can answering a genuine question not come with politeness?

We cannot possibly download every clip posted here, which is why we rely on members to report copyright infringement.
