This hiring manager at a pool facility puts his new lifeguard candidates on receptionist duties to start out. However, due to the potential for slipping on floors, he has to test out the feet of any new hires to make sure they can handle slimy conditions so they don't accidentally slip.
They are tested every two weeks in different positions until he knows their feet are ready for full duties. Generally athletic lifeguards like, Titanium Giro (5'9", size 10.5), are preferred and sometimes their feet get tested more rigorously due to higher expectations of their potential.
