Yes, it is. I think what really makes it stand out is how spacious the environment is. You really get a feel for how deep and long the corridors are and how easy it would be to get lost, boxed in, or surrounded in such a place. The background is just as important as the characters, maybe even moreso in this picture, since I believe this is an early concept piece for the escape from the Death Star scene in A New Hope.

If I'm not misatken, this peice was done before the Jedi were conceptualized. Back then Mr. Lucas had made lightsabres a common wepon (as you can see the stormtrooper weilding it), then after he created the Jedi, he made the lightsabres exclusive to them.

Wow, 30 years eh? Happy birthday Star Wars. Funnily enough yesterday there was a Star Wars marathon on TV. I was too busy studying to watch it, but I watched episodes 1 and 2 on DVD; will save 3-6 for after the exams xD

I'm glad you all like it. And yes, as rtl posted, this was an early desing, when Star Wars was just an "idea in progress".

If you watch carefully the man down the corridor wielding the light saber you'll find some reminesence to George Lucas.
