...that the last operational flight of Spitfires in RAF roundels was on the Queen's Birthday 1955? The last unit to fly them was the Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force. You can download .wav and .rm sound files of Spitfire fly-by's on their web site:

The files play for about 12 seconds. I have both. Sometimes, to annoy my wife, I'll start the .rm on RealPlayer, then the .wav on Windows MediaPlayer 6 sec later, then repeat the .rm 6 sec later, then .wav, etc. Both applications will play at the same time. Sounds like an air raid.
