As Ross's migraines continued to linger, and as much as Ross wanted to retain his two mega businesses, to feel successful, and powerful, Ross realized he finally had no choice.
As time went on, Ross and his attorney began drafting up plans and proposals, to scale down RossShell by the fifty percent which Ross had promised Kayley long ago, but he had never done.
One night, when Ross came home, he kissed Kayley, and handed her the proposal.
"A compromise, teacher, RossShell scaled down by fifty percent. On one condition. This plan does not include anything to do with Fritz, Steve, Tim, anyone to do with Tim, or the oil and gas. If you agree to that and we shake hands on it, I will immediately begin to go through this process ASAP. If not, then all bets are off as my Dad likes to say, and fuck everything" Ross said.
Kayley and Ross shook hands, and then Kayley kissed Ross. "Wholeheartedly agreed. Ross, most important, this will help your health. Eventually, when the scale down of the accounts is agreed to, you can then get a smaller office with a smaller staff, focus on the oil and gas, and anything else with Fritz and Steve, and occasionally take on a new deal here or there, as long as you dont let it get out of control" Kayley said.
That night, when Ross and Kayley got into bed, Kayley was all over Ross. "I want to fuck a man with a scaled down company, and a simplified life. Baby, this is going to be the best decision you've ever made, for both yourself, and for us" Kayley said.
"I know, Kale" Ross said, kissing Kayley.
As the days went along, Ross began the "process" of combing through which accounts and assets of RossShell to sell, leaving of course, Tim, Fritz, Steve, the oil and gas, certain other deals, and recently purchased companies out of it.
Ross and his attorneys also came up with ideas and agreements, for Ross to sometimes take lesser amounts on certain accounts and assets which he sold, in return for a small royalty to Ross. He would also try to somehow agree to lesser experienced companies, to "advise" them on certain accounts, again for a lower price.
One account after the next went. Two hundred and fifty accounts became two hundred, then one hundred fifty, one twenty five, and finally down to one hundred accounts even.
Ross also scaled down his staff by half, giving glowing letters of recommendations to any staff members he needed to let go, because of reducing the size of his company.
Additionally, Ross moved into an office about half the size of the current RossShell, on another floor.
Finally, when the scale down was done, and Ross was ready to move out of the office into the new office, Ross came home with a bottle of wine for Kayley one night, and himself took iced tea.
"Okay, teacher, promise fulfilled. RossShell has been scaled down by half. I will be out of this office by the end of the month and into the one about half the size on another floor in the same building. This time, I promise you, no tricks. RossShell will remain the same as it is now. in return, I am permitted to do any deal I want with Fritz and Steve in regard to oil and gas or such because it is separate. If someone wants to sell me a small in trouble company, I must buy it, and sell it ASAP for the best profit which I can get so that I can make some money, but do not clog RossShell up with company after company and account after account" Ross said.
Kayley kissed Ross on the lips long.
"I am so, so happy for you. I am proud of you, and I am thrilled for us" Kayley said.
"Kale, idea. With it being summer, and you being off, hun. How about we hop down to OKC and then go to Vegas for one night, and then to Beverly Hills? Let's go stay in the Beverly Hills Hotel for a few days, go shopping on Rodeo Drive, you buy up to your heart's content, and I will buy a few things too, okay?" Ross suggested.
Kayley kissed Ross again. "That sounds like a wonderful idea, man with the scaled down company who I love so much" Kayley said.
Ross and Kayley seemed just in bliss.
Ross then emailed and called Fritz and Steve about the upcoming OKC trip.
Had Ross "uncomplicated his life" business wise as it so seemed? Would this move be beneficial to Ross's life and health, and to Ross and Kayley's marriage after Ross and Kayley had been fighting about Ross's work habits and RossShell for so many years?
