I wish that time were a car,
We could switch to reverse,
To remove or relive memories,
That often feel like a curse.
If we had never met,
There'd be nothing to miss,
But I still recall those times,
When life was pure bliss.
Wrapped up in your arms,
Safe, cozy, and warm,
Little did I know—
Calm before the storm.
Now the storm has passed,
You're gone, I'm left to repair,
Cursed by sweet memories,
An eternal affair.
But that's the risk we take,
When we open our heart—
It takes two to make it work,
But just one to fall apart.
We could switch to reverse,

When life was pure bliss.
