Forum suggestion

I dont know if there is any way to do this, but is there any way to incorporate some sort of "search" feature in the forums. Like if you typed in "Stern" or "Yaqi" It would take you to a list of topics with those particular names in them. IT would be a lot easier to navigate through if you were lookin for something in particular.

You can search for posts based on username, word(s) in the post or just in the subject, by date, and only in particular forums. To access the search feature, click on the "search" link at the top of most pages. You can search any forum that you have permission to search - you will not be allowed to search through private forums unless the administrator has given you the necessary security rights to do so.

BUT I have yet to see one. Try reposting the question in the "Technical Assistance" forum 😎

I believe the search capabilities of the forum are turned off do to loading problems.

I may be mistaken. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I think we dont have that feature because of the bandwidth and server limits and everything.

But what the hell do I know? 😉 (im just a simple salesman😛 )

I seem to recall someone having asked a similar question not too long ago. If I remember correctly, the search feature that's offered by v bulletin wasn't being used because of problems with the program...or some such reason. It's definitely not that it hasn't been looked into. It would be great to have if it worked properly.

There was a search function but it has been turned off due to the stress it put on the server. It's an option that is not available due to the problems it caused.
