for me thats the fun part! Driving!!!!!!!!! Just ask Krystle! I still get good gas milage till i start screwin with ppl that messed with her on the highway. Gotta love my Monte and what it can do. Oh yeah and gas wouldnt be so bad if i stopped my triple digit runs along the empty highway(which i have basically, since theres no need to wreck and kill myself when i got a wonderful girl in my life!) Flooding is nothing..im high enough that it doesnt affect me. it usually recedes back within a few hours.
Well, I do have to say that a little slip n' slide can be fun at high speeds, but I had to stop that in high school. Once, in the winter, I was designated to drive a bunch of people with me to a party out of town. The roads everywhere, were paved with ice. So, I was driving down a back road doing the speed limit...x2, when I came to a curve. I tried to slow down, but the road was so icy, that instead, the car began to spin out of control. Everybody began to freak out. Now, you have to understand, anyone who has half a brain and has even just barely squeaked by in driver's education, could easily asess this situation and implement the apropriate counter-measures to bring the car under control and stop it safely.
Unfortunately, the afore mentioned people were not driving the car...I was. Instead of applying my knowlege to save my car and the sanity of my passengers(most of whom I barely knew) I instead, threw up my arms and screamed "WHEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Thankfully, the car sideswiped a snow bank and suffered only minor dents. The damage inside was minimal. A few bruised egos(who would of thought one of the toughest guys I'd known could actually make himself scream like a girl when confronted with possible death), some jangled nerves, and a few damaged psyches.
However, one of the occupants(some girl I'd just met that night) jumped out of the back seat and began screaming "YOU ASSHOLE, YOU FUKIN ASSHOLE. YOU ALMOST KILLED ME!"
I attempted to calm her down, but being the dumb fuck I was, inadvertantly, made it worse. "Look." I said. "Please don't judge me based on what happened tonight. I'm NEVER this big an asshole when I'm sober."
Why she didn't call the cops that night still mystifies me to this day.
