I live in a province in Canada called Saskatchewan. Right now, it's -30C or -37C with windchill. Needless to say, I'm frozen stiff. So far, our forecast claims that we can expect this "lovely" weather for a few more days. I seriousley hope that our temperature does not drop to the -60C range like we had last january.

So, how's the weather where you guys are?

fucked up if you ask me Dussicar..Ohio..between -10's to the high 50's..Snow one day..Rain the next..we went from nearly 2 ft of snow to and ice storm to really warm temps that caused widespread flooding..just really weird weather!

Geez, navel. With all the ups and downs in your temperature, the ensuing slush/ice road conditions must be hellish for driving. Not to mention condensation in your gas tank. To say the least.
Flooding. Now that's really strange. But, as odd as it sounds, I think I would rather have your weather...Well, until your flooding freezes over, that is. 😀

today and tomorrow midwest is to be hit with freezing rain\sleet and thurs-fri temps will drop to below zero

just in time for me to go further north in this state to move back to school

Weather is nice in Ottawa but less than a month ago we had -45 temperatures with the windchill. I have to say I prefer the warm summer weather.

We're having a VERY mild winter here in Jersey to go with the very mild summer we had. It's nice for this transplanted Californian to get abreak from the extreme north Eastern weather.
It's currently 35F out. Not one major snowfall yet this YEAR. Usually we're under a few feel of snow in January. With any luck we'll go until spring without too much nastiness from mother nature.

i hate to point and laugh but...... a comfortable 60-70 F here in Florida. yall need a winter vacation, seriously.

last year i went on vacation to pennslyvaniawhen the weather there was 0-10 F and went around pennsylvania with a tank top and shorts, no joke, you have no idea how many floridians wish they live where you live.

Southern Ontario is pretty nice right now.....temperatures hovering around freezing. Still got the old BBQ going....fun 🙂

And Dussicar, don't let those prairie temperatures get you down....just remember, you can always add a layer of clothing if its cold outside, but there's a limit to how much you can take off when its boiling out....

for me thats the fun part! Driving!!!!!!!!! Just ask Krystle! I still get good gas milage till i start screwin with ppl that messed with her on the highway. Gotta love my Monte and what it can do. Oh yeah and gas wouldnt be so bad if i stopped my triple digit runs along the empty highway(which i have basically, since theres no need to wreck and kill myself when i got a wonderful girl in my life!) Flooding is nothing..im high enough that it doesnt affect me. it usually recedes back within a few hours.

Well, on the good 'ol Outer Banks of NC it is a balmy 52.2 degrees, with expected highs of 70 later this week.

so the mysterious HDS is a Tarheel, I presume? My Uncle lives around the outerbanks area..maybe a little south of it. I could be wrong..but i know he lives on the coastline of NC. Hes always braggin about golfing(retired Ford worker..whatelse is there to do with that money? lol) i love the cold and the snow! its when its a mess that i hate it..like rain/snow mix..bah!

Tarheel? Bah. I move so often that I belong in no state. This residence is merely a temporary state.

Golf you say? He must live farther south, closer to Bald Head or WIlmington. Unless he lives near the Sandhills. Excellent golf in the sandhills.

52.6 degrees F now. 😛

what do you move so much for?is it work?? I think he does live down near wilmington cause he told me that its about a half hour to 45 mins to myrtle beach(my fave vacation spot so far)

Must be Wilmimgton then.

I just can't stand the same place for long. I got used to changing when younger, and in fact, I never went completely through any one school (Come in at the lowest grade and leave at the highest). Change is fun once you get used to it.

49.9 degrees now.

Weather isn't all that bad here. I think it's been near or below freezing all day, but not that bad. Pretty good for January actually. With wind though, it gets a heck of a lot worse at university. See, the architecture was designed in California, so both the architects and my university did not take in to consideration major wind-tunnels between buildings. 2 years ago railings had to be put up on an incline because people were being physically buffeted backwards. Moral of the story? Don't import blue-prints.

Well, I do have to say that a little slip n' slide can be fun at high speeds, but I had to stop that in high school. Once, in the winter, I was designated to drive a bunch of people with me to a party out of town. The roads everywhere, were paved with ice. So, I was driving down a back road doing the speed limit...x2, when I came to a curve. I tried to slow down, but the road was so icy, that instead, the car began to spin out of control. Everybody began to freak out. Now, you have to understand, anyone who has half a brain and has even just barely squeaked by in driver's education, could easily asess this situation and implement the apropriate counter-measures to bring the car under control and stop it safely.
Unfortunately, the afore mentioned people were not driving the car...I was. Instead of applying my knowlege to save my car and the sanity of my passengers(most of whom I barely knew) I instead, threw up my arms and screamed "WHEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Thankfully, the car sideswiped a snow bank and suffered only minor dents. The damage inside was minimal. A few bruised egos(who would of thought one of the toughest guys I'd known could actually make himself scream like a girl when confronted with possible death), some jangled nerves, and a few damaged psyches.
However, one of the occupants(some girl I'd just met that night) jumped out of the back seat and began screaming "YOU ASSHOLE, YOU FUKIN ASSHOLE. YOU ALMOST KILLED ME!"
I attempted to calm her down, but being the dumb fuck I was, inadvertantly, made it worse. "Look." I said. "Please don't judge me based on what happened tonight. I'm NEVER this big an asshole when I'm sober."

Why she didn't call the cops that night still mystifies me to this day.

Lmao @ dussicar..my driving is different..alone..im an asshole...especially with open roads with no traffic..Im burning it down the road. with traffic..im fast..but very cautious. With someone with me..fast but not overly too fast maybe 10 miles over. Just ask Krystle..Im not that bad when im with her..its when im by myself..when i act like an idiot..lmao..she saw me top well over 100 on the highway while she "followed" me.

Ah, navel. You're the brains I never had. You have a sense of decency and preservation for life when it comes to driving. Unfortunately, back then, with me, anything went. But, I would like to point out that I am a completely safe and sane driver these days. You might even say I drive like somebody's grandma.
Even now, the novelty of not getting a speeding, parking, or reckless driving ticket every five miles that I drive, still hasn't washed off. 😀

Actually, that sounds frighteningly like our season up here. Our summer was very mild. Our fall was actually very hot and the beginning of our winter was also very mild...Then the deepfreeze came. :wooha:

It's windy, rainy here now in arizona but early today it was in the 60's with a few clouds..
I can remember a vacation I took in new hampshire a long time ago and my friends had to teach me how to drive in the snow, they laughed when I thought going up a hill with slush,I could just get momentum and make it up LOL>>>...They all educated me on how to go do a proper " donut " in a empty parking lot!..I thought they were talking about going to a donut shop to have donuts and coffee,..silly me!! LOL..

Actually, that's the best way to learn to drive. In the winter. It really hones your skills. That's how I learned to drive.

LOL. I think everybody learned what the "doughnut" terminology ultimately meant the hard way. But after doing a couple...You have to admit, it's addictively fun. 😀
Especially in reeeeealy icy parking lots. 😀 😀 😀

I hear you, HDS. It kills me that Ive lived in this house for 6 YEARS now. I think I went until 8th grade before spending an entire grade in one school. 😛

Oh god!
I just heard the weather report for the rest of the week. Today, it was -45C with windchill, and it apparently this is to be expected for my poor province until the weekend....But I'll bet that we get this crappy weather on saturday and sunday too. 🙁

speakin of messed up weather..today it was 65 degrees here with t-storms and tons of flooding..okay..now just over the past few weeks..weve been under winter weather warnings for ice and heavy snow..wtf is up?

jeff: The hollywood brother tell you to just go with the hollywood brother weather flow. Look at the Hollywood Brother's east coast. Ice Cold temps 24 hours ago, then super thick fog and high sixities today. Now the temp is starting to drop but the hollywood brother do not worry. Just be thankful you are not shoveling out your car every morning. The hollywood brother can live with this wacky weather as long as we do not get pounded too many times with giant snowfall amounts
