Jennifer Love Hewitt, still pitching under a microscope for her job, went to the hill for the final game of the homestand on Wednesday afternoon in front of nearly 50,000 sundrenched. Love pitched a good game, allowing only two runs over nine innings, and leaving tied 2-2 after nine. The pen came in, and kept order until the 12th. After Houston took the lead in the 12th, the Good Guys rallied to win on two singles and a homerun by the catcher Barney in the last of the 12th, 5-3. It had been a very entertaining homestand, and now came a road trip to the Big Apple, and points south.
