Welcome back my friends, to the show that never ends....
This is a highly unusual update for me. These images began as "cybersketches" and were never intended to see the light of day. When I'm creating a new set, especially one as complex as Test Subject, I spend some time looking at the basic concept from various angles and play around with some facial expressions and other ideas that I intend to just toss when I'm done. These, however, were so cute or hot that I decided to hang on to them.
The first image I hung onto because I loved the facial expression...but forgot to save it when I was playing around with it! So, I have to try and re-create it for the actual set. Same with the last one. Overall, except for the last one, these are quick shots of what was initially going to be the whole device...and we all know how I stuck to my guns on that one, huh? I just thought that these were kinda neat for "sketches".
So, I did something I rarely do with my artwork...I just said "Screw it!" and had some fun with them. Added some quick abstract backgrounds and some silly text, and ran with it. And you know what? I've realized that I may be taking my art waaaaay too seriously. These are kinda silly, and way out of my usual style, but they reminded me of what I love about the tickling fetish in the first place. The fun, the goofiness and the almost comical appeal of tickling. The old school addition of copy-and-paste feathers, the wacky descriptions, all of those things that hit us where we live, deep in our troubled little minds. So, I hope you guys don't mind this little departure and don't take it any more seriously than I have.
Maybe I should start saving my sketches after all.
