Well, the W32/SQL Slammer/Sapphire worm which uses a buffer overflow in SQL Server to take over the system and send out a flood of packets, hit my employer's network this morning very very early --since I've got the network team, we were all there trying to figure out what was happening. It was like chasing a ghost, and then after we discovered the problem, it was a which hunt to find all hosts running SQL server. Many Microsoft O/S installs default install SQL server. Check your PC to see if it's running on your home box. It shows up as a little square icon in the right taskbar. Unless you use it, deinstall the thing --hopefully your firewall protected you if you have one. If you're infected, it'll generate traffic and slow your connecting to a halt.

Anyhow, this very cute/lovely chick that works in the helpdesk was there. We've obviously (to both of us) had a "thing" for some time for each other. I've never advanced the relationship, even though I've really really wanted to, because I'm in management, it's the place I work, and could really have serious negative repercussions for both of us. Anyway, she walks up to me, wearing no shoes as usual --she's barefoot in the summer, wears socks --today white socks --in the winter. We started talking, and she got a playful look (you know 😉 in her eyes. So I pretended I was slowly stepping on her toes. She lifted her very small and cute foot, placed it on top of mine, and wouldn't budge, and was just smiling like crazy. I felt this warmth, actually through my shoe, from her foot. I commented on how warm her feet were, of course, she just smiled really cute and said she had been sitting on them at her desk.
So I kneeled down, grabbed her toes, to which she started to react, smiling and giggling. Then I went for her arch, to which she jumped around and started laughing out loud. It lasted for about 30 seconds because we were out in the hallway of cube-ville. No one busted us --and we both enjoyed a little flirting. A very nice break from a very trying day!
