After the Katie/Chewy cameo appearance in Chapter 7 of my comix series "Tales From the Low Roads", the Cartoon Tickler suggested that it might be fun to learn how our willowy blonde heroine came to find herself so desperately threatened in the Gloominvald. I heartily agreed... who wouldn't jump at the chance to spend more time with lovely Katie, or wield the fiendishly ravenous Chewy! Here, then, is the backstory... watch sharp for a further much-loved favorite (a mischievously sadisitic red-head) along for the ride.

Thank you Rajee! 😀 Very pleased you enjoyed it! It was fun to try a more compact, self-contained comic.... sort of like short-story writing as opposed to the extended, inter-dependent novel structure of the "Low Roads". It also gave me an opportunity to weave in a bit more humor, something often lacking from my regular contributions.

Thanks Kal! I know, I know... the title's a groaner. But then, all puns tend to be! I can't resist puns in titles... it's amongst the my worst of my bad habits! (a title adapted, in fact, from one of my pieces of Pokemon poetry, which means I'll have to come up with something new for the poem... the curse of a limited repertoire!)

A small return for all the community's done for me! My gracious thanks, Bandito! Cherished words, coming from one who's stellar Bounce Chix contributions make him such a vital force for our world of fondly loved fetish pleasures!

I've greatly enjoyed the Cartoon Tickler's vivid, iconic characters throughout the years and thrilled to their adventures in Tickleland, Feather Island, The Land of the Ticklish, The Tickle Raider's Lost World, etc! As well, it's been a rare privilege to entertain the lovely Katie and Hayley as guests in my own Low Roads world (I'm sure the gleefully fiendish Chewy found it tasty too!) All of them are carefully thought-out, finely crafted personalities, and being allowed to portray them has proved a wonderfully enriching treat!

Simply wonderful! The dominant/submissive relationship between Hayley and Katie was very well written and well executed. I felt bad for the poor little "fun guy" when the big bully baked his bottom, but in the end, satisfaction was his. Most enjoyable indeed!

As ever, thanks so much for your thoughtful commentary, Moonknight! Creating this piece proved to be a nice interlude for me, a pleasant change from the dire tone of the usual Low Roads trips. While treating the Mad Cap Mushroom that way was indeed a bit cruel (as he was basically standing in for me, I felt as though I were scorching myself!), it did, as you say, provide all the impetus needed for a yummy vengeance! By the way, this shady sprout will be back to torment Mercy in Chapter 8 of our regular Low Roads continuum!

I'm glad this little side trip proved a pleasure... it certainly has for me in more ways than one; (1) I was able to step outside the regular Low Roads context and fight the creative fatigue of doing the same thing over and over; (2) I could add complexity to the series with a bit of backstory; (3) (and most importantly!) I got to spend a lot more time with the comely (and super-ticklish) Katie and Hayley! No fool, I! When an opportunity arises to court the lovely ladies, I make use of it!

If anything, this brief "Fungi" detour helped the schedule... it's gotten me into script mindset a bit sooner than I might have been otherwise (procrastination, I'm afraid... I'm always a bit sluggish after completing a chapter).

ok now that i've read all seven chapters of Low Roads, i can more easily understand this cartoon..it was lighter to be sure..however i simply love the Low Road series..it has an intricate plot, making one want to find out quickly what happens next..

That's for the Cartoon Tickler (korn_ste, here at the TMF) to decide! I never intended to co-opt the girls long term... only long enough to explain why Katie and Chewy happened to be in the Gloominvald for their cameo reference. As CT often makes use of indefinite cliff-hanger conclusions himself, this one seemed appropriate. I suspect Katie and Hayley will come out of things intact... CT has many ticklish adventures yet for them (and us) to enjoy!
