Here is a funny story. Last year I was looking for work and I had an interview at a department store. I think that, after answering one of the questions, I may have outed myself as foot guy. :lol Now, I didn't get the job, but looking back on the conversation, it's kind of funny to me.
The man interviewing me asked what departments I might be uncomfortable working in. I said "Well, women's shoes might be awkward." I thought it was a silly thing to say, but realized I may have just made myself look creepy. There are a multitude of reasons a male may find working in women's shoes to be awkward that don't include liking feet. But if he really, really wanted to read too much into what I said, that would be among the first things to come to someone's mind.
I can imagine his (hypothetical) thoughts right now. "We can't let this guy work here. He'll walk past the women's shoes department, see some hot blonde trying on some heels, get a big old boner and scare all the ladies out of the store. Nobody would buy shoes here again."
Now, in all seriousness, I could remain calm and mature working near the women's shoes department. I could probably work next to it and forget it exists for weeks. Now working in that department, on the other hand, I might just embarrass myself. I would be professional around the women, but there would be a lot of times where I'd need to sit down because "my leg is asleep," or whatever just so I can hide how excited I am to see some girl's feet. But eventually I'd be figured out, and someone will be like "This guy is foot pervert, he has a boner! Here let me show you it!" :lol
I know it sounds silly. If you've seen one foot, you've seen them all. Just like with boobs and butts and so on. But, as a man with a high sex drive, I'd still be super "happy to see" the customers. Again, I could control myself, but some signals I just can't hide.
I personally feel I didn't get the job due to other factors and I don't think I gave myself away, but if I did out myself I wouldn't be surprised. It's still funny to think about.
