Gags or not.A question for ler's,lee's and switches.

Gags ROCK, I adore them and prefer them in my play as both 'lee or 'ler. Teasing a gagged 'lee with questions they can't answer is one of the most diabolical and delicious parts of a good session

Gags don;t appeal to me as a Lee or as a Ler, I love to hear and see the reactions of the Lee and wouldn;t want anything to hinder the ability of the lee to respond .. and as a Ler, I like the lee I am tickling to be vulnerable,but not gags

I enjoy reactions, as well as my 'lee being a smartass... and there's always the chance that she'll be able to crane her head just-so and get a bite in as I'm tickling her... which, of course, is more than adequate as an excuse to step things up a notch ;-)

All that aside, though, gags are too 'Ler-focused for me. Unless I'm 100% convinced that the girl I'm tickling has a fetish for having something stuffed into her mouth (no crude jokes; you know what I mean) I would be unable to assure myself that there was equal enjoyment going around.

i would never wear a gag because i would actually gag and throw up. i have this stupidly sensitive gag reflex and having something in my mouth like that i would panic and choke. i can't even get dental x-rays, it's that strong. but i do understant that many people enjoy them and to them i say rock on!

Every time this topic comes up, I wonder why people keep saying, "I don't like gags because I like to hear the laughter." It makes me wonder if they've every actually heard someone being tickled while gagged, because gags don't block laughter. They just prevent speech.

Now if someone doesn't like the way they look, or likes having access to the 'lee's mouth for some other reason, or if the 'lee has breathing issues and can't use them - these are reasons I can understand. But this idea that you can't hear the laughter with a gag is just not true.

gags change the quality, and character of the laughter. and you're right, i dislike them for all the other reasons you listed.

All the other reasons I listed can be addressed simply by using different kinds of gags - they look different, sound different, feel different, and can be removed and reapplied, depending on what people like.

I've always felt that saying "I don't like gags" is like saying "I don't like wine," or "I don't like vegetables." There are so many different types of each that no reason to dislike one of them applies to all of them. Ultimately, as with vegetables and wine, it's more just not liking them because one doesn't like them, I think.

Well, not straight, anyway. The alcohol can be useful for tenderizing meat in a marinade . . . but to drink the juice of fermented grapes straight, risking impaired judgement and other side effects? Not for me, thanks.

If I understand you, you aren't saying you don't like wine specifically. You're saying you don't like alcohol in any form, because it impairs judgement and has other side effects.

While there are many kinds of wine, there's only one sort of alcohol that humans drink. So in that case there's no way around it, because it's not the taste or any other specific quality of wine that you want to avoid.

The analogy for gags would be "I don't like gags because I don't like being unable to speak." That would be a problem that's universal to all gags and to many other things (including kissing).
