Hi all! Was going to post this last night, but it started storming.

I was doing an X-One update yesterday and was killing time by looking through some of my GI mags, in the March issue the Question of the Month was pretty good, so I though I would post it here and see what you thought.

“If video game characters could run for president, who would you vote for and why?”

As for me, I think I would go with Duke Nukem, because after fighting all those aliens and monsters, I think there wouldn't be any threat too big for him to handle personally.

Is there a game where the protagonist is an intelligent, highly educated person who makes thoughtful decisions based on lengthy consideration and consultation with panels of experts?

No? Then Sonic the Hedgehog.

Well, actually, there used to be a number of gamer where you [the player] had to think about three move ahead of your enemies. Like any of the older "Tom Clansey" stuff, or they was one on PS2 [I forget the name] but you had to try and stop your own death, and it was a challenge to get though it without using the "time rewind" feature.

In this universe, does the candidate still have to be at least 35 and a natural born US citizen?

Good question. In a way, I would say yes, but seeing as there aren't too very many US born characters [at least in the games I've played], I would have to say no.

and the age thing doesn't matter in this scenario, well, as long as they are over 18 [got to keep it legal]

Then I have to say Frogfucius from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. He's a fair, wise frog. I'd trust his judgement.

Definitely going to go with cranky Kong hands down. He knows when it's time to step aside and delegate work to others, when it's needed he steps in and imparts the wisdom of his years, and if you piss him off enough he'll put you in your place.

I have played Super Mario RPG.

all I remember about it is fighting that powerful little stick thing [I never did beat that thing]
