General Flames

Flames are bad... We know this... And yet we think them whenever some idiot posts something belittling or something that seriously lacks in intelligence.

We all know that each flame brings down the moral of TMF.... and yet there are some people who continue to dish out. Worse... there are ones who purposely set out bait of hatred and ignorance just to stir things up.

Checking out some threads in the polls section of the forum... I saw this WHAT KIND OF POKEMON ARE YOU.... in one of the members signatures. (DarkstormXalpha thank you for your inspiration.)

It was kind of cute and funny. Feel free to take the survey yourself....just for fun.

HOWEVER, whenever you are angry at someone. Whenever you feel like there are people here on this forum (and there are people!) who's sole purpose is to hurt and destroy people's culture, beliefs, religion, ethnicity, political stance, gender, and their very self esteem... Just remember what you are soon to read below.

I hope it cheers you up and gives you all the more reason to rise above their scum mentality. Also realize that our differences should make us want to at least learn about each other and utilize that education to build each other up... not to tear down.

That's an East Coast of Canada exclamation, and translates loosely into into something from a Redd Foxx (the title character in the '70's sitcom Sanford & Son for anyone not old enough to remember) rant -- you know, the dramatic ones made while clutching his chest in mock agony, and staggering around the living room?

I'm a Pikachu? *gasp* a Pikachu? The sticky sweet, nicest of the nice Pokemon? *gag* My son would be soooooo disappointed, he'd have wanted me to be a "COOL" Pokemon, like Mewtwo, or an "Unknown Pokemon" from the Third Movie...

According to an "authority" on Pokemon, (a.k.a my 10-year-old) if you drop Pikachu in water - it just makes him angry! Once he drip dries himself, he'll "Thundershock" you half to death! Since "Trainers", (the "human" component) can't simply visit a "Pokemon Centre" to repair/recharge themselves, they walk around quite "crispy" for awhile!

*sob* Oh me achin' noggin... make it stop!!!

When it comes to flames, not naming names is not much better than naming them. Please don't call your fellow members liars, or compare them to evil creatures. It will make it much easier to defend you, should they do the same to you. Thanks.

Would I ever do that seriously? Hmm... I do hope that people can grasp that the nature of the post was humorous. I would also hope that most of the people posting, many of whom are my friends, would NOT seriouly take what I said in my prior post as directed toward them. I know it is hard to interpret the intent of someone you don't know.

Personally, I prefer the description of Chansey that's on the "Official Pokemon Website"...something about this elusive Pokemon bringing happiness to those who can find it. 🙂

On the other hand, I love marshmallow peeps...solid sugar, cute as hell, and they blow up to 10 times their size when you put them in the microwave for 10 or 20 seconds.

That toaster thing looks pretty vicious. On the other hand, I was amazed at how big my little bunny peep got when I stuck him in for 15 seconds. Afterwards, though, he quickly began to shrink into a little yellow and white pile that sort of resembled scrambled eggs. He didn't taste very good, after that, either. Oh well.
