Finally, a proper send off to Harold Ramis and the original cast! Everyone shows up in this movie, Jeanine, Dana (in the end credit scene), Venkman, Ray, AND Winston! Loved it!

Go watch it! It's a good time! 😀

I also enjoyed this movie. Not gonna lie, I got a little choked up there towards the end.

A wonderful tribute to one of the greatest film makers, Harold Ramis.

Ditto, my philosophical friend!

My mom just adored Harold Ramis, and thought he was brilliantly cast as a doctor in As Good As It Gets, and Egon was her favorite GB, as she thought Harold also looked like a brilliant scientist.

But my God was she pissed when Harold Ramis didn't get a bigger role in Knocked Up, playing Seth Rogen's dad. As was I lol!

But I digress, sorry to ramble.

LOVED Afterlife!

My only complain was I wished there was an equal ration of Kid and adult story/character development. That, and I wished they would have explained why Phoebe was the way she was. Just being Egon's granddaugter wasn't enough, in my book, but I harbor no ill to Jason Reitman though.

However, one of my favorite parts was discovering how Dana got her Zuul dress in the original Ghostbusters, as I was puzzled why a classy woman like Dana would have such an exotic dress. But when we saw a possessed Callie just use magic to literally change her clothes and lose her footwear, it all made sense. Zuul created the dress herself, and made up her host's hair, makeup, and nail polish (as Dana's fingers and toes didn't have polish before, if you look real closely at her hands and feet and pause at the right moments.)

I always found it funny that Louis was still wearing the same clothes before Vince possessed him, and yet Dana is half naked and barefoot.
I'm by no means complaining, mind you 😉

Seeing the team back together, with the dear and departed Egon Spengler made me feel like a little boy again, and I just wished my Mom/cinema movie buddy, was with me to watch it......

Happy holidays, to you all!!!!!

I will agree! I really enjoyed this movie as it brought back so many great memories. I loved the original from way back in 1984 and it gave me such great childhood memories. I love the characters! Hell, I even wrote a story with the characters and Gozer!

The plot was a little soft, but so was the very first one. I went in for an enjoyable ride and it delivered. I do recommend this movie! It is very fun.

I enjoyed it. It was the second best of the series IMHO. The original will always be the best, but Afterlife recaptured a lot of the fun of the original that the second movie lacked. The third movie was a train wreck, so I didn't expect there to be a fourth movie.
