Goat torture

Hey,

I would like to know where I can found information about the goat torture, which is putting salt, honey or sugar on femal feet and let a goat, which is attracted by the food, lick those feet.

I would be interested on true account of this torture and on videos or pictures which might exist.

There was this researcher featured on PBS named Christine Harris who conducted studies about tickling. She gave an interview at some point, and that interview is still posted on the PBS website. Someone asks her a question similar to yours.

Harris' response:
Well, there are definitely some suggestions in the literature that this may have happened. For example, in the German novel, Die Abenteuerliche Simplicissimus, written in 1683 there is a woodcut depicting such torture. Mercenaries have tied up a farmer, put salt on his feet, and then have a goat lick the salt off. He supposedly laughs to death. Robert Provine's recent book on laughter also lists several other references of tickle torture in ancient times.
