That makes the THIRD GOD DAMNED CREEPY CRAWLY we've had to CRUSH this damn WEEK!

To make matters worse this one was in a area we do NOT WANT insects to be IN due to safety issues!

Dammit pesticide in a can! Why must you FAIL ME SO?

Edit: Now that I look at what's left of the god awful thing, I just realized it's a brown recluse. Now we definitely have to hire Orkin.

eeek! that is one creepy crawly you do not want in your house .... tis the season .... and pesticides are notoriously ineffective against spiders ... who are not actually insects ... but qualify as bugs 🙂

just burn the whole house down, you'll live

BAHAHAHA I concur. Its better to be safe than... oh wait.

Be on a real note, I had an incident with a spider recently as well. I seen it (concern lvl: 3).. on the wall ( concern lvl: 6).. near my head rest (concern lvl: No!). I punched and swatted several areas but couldnt confirm my kill (concern lvl:8). About 10 minutes later this monstrosity was doing mach 90 right at me. Needless to say I confirmed my kill that time!

I must be the only person here who deals with spiders without killing them.

depending on the spider, I will oft just gently pick them up and deposit them outside .... or use a sheet of paper ... a glass perhaps ... I try not to kill them either .... we would be over run by flies without them .... we have parrots, and cannot use insecticides.

It's good practice not to kill your own minions.

Sorry Dalek-hun but I don't make minions out of creepy crawlies (especially poisonous ones).

That's basically it.

Not me it's not. I suffer from arachnophobia and will not tolerate spiders (or any other damn vermin) in my home.

Be a bit more understanding. You'll live. :stickout

Alas comrade, I too insert them into paper cups and loft them into the backyard.

There's at least a trillion more where the ones I've killed came from so I don't lose much sleep over squashing a few hundred in the course of my life. Also, our front, side, and back yards have been sprayed so I doubt they'll find much shelter out there.

There may be planets without spiders in this universe. But on this one there are spiders. You can a) deal with it or b) not 🙂

I do try to take any spiders outside, but you don't want to mess with a brown recluse.

I hate the 'unwanted' getting into my apartment.

last summer I had issues with these mofos getting into my place.

Spiders are good for pest control in the garden (sorry yard) so i always put them there
Place a glass (tumbler) over the spider and slide a thin place mat (coaster) under the glass and take them outside.

By the way Love that pic your using

Same here. We have a lot of spiders, so I keep a "Spider Response Kit" handy - a thin-but-firm piece of cardboard and a transparent glass, so I can chuck them in the garden. I'm not fond of spiders - on bad days I can be pretty terrified of them - but I just hate to kill them. :/

As do I, though I get bouts of literally petrifying arachnophobia. Only 2 types will I kill on sight, I won't name them here (thinking of Gandalf refusing to use the 'dark tongue') but they're poisonous 😛 I like most 6 legged critters though, and we frequently have fireflies living in our room, which I love xD

I also don't kill spiders, they take care of the more unsightly pest that will invade my humble abode.

That being said however, things like Brown Recluse and Wolf Spiders are the most terrifying things under 10 inches. I wouldn't even try to catch or kill a Wolf Spider, I'd just give up that part of the house to it haha.

Wolf spiders are flaming terrifying. If they don't come at me they can live, but if the little bastards take a charge at me they get squished. I hate to do it, but that kind of aggression ain't cool from something with a stinger >_<

I couldn't even kill it knowing how aggressive they are, if I failed to kill it with one hit I suspect it would hold some sort of vendetta against me. Also they carry their babies on their back and thats just... ughhhh

You don't want to mess with a brown recluse!

My hubby and I try and save harmless spiders, but have no qualms killing the ones who pose a danger. Even know someone who was killed by a brown recluse. Don't mess with that one. Also known as fiddlers because they look like they have a tiny fiddle on their backs.

True! Where do they love to live? In piles of clothes on the floor ... say in a closet ... keep you stuff picked up LOL 😱

Fortunately, they really do live up to their name, preferring out-of-the-way places usually not visited by humans. People run up against them when they decide to clean out the back of that closet they haven't looked through in 6 years, or down in the basement, or storage shed, etc.

In more bad news, a look at the "who's on" portion of the board informs me there are currently 8 spiders currently browsing the theater!!!

It is best to spray in the Springtime.

I usually start in the cellar by spraying the whole base of the house.😱
