We're allowed non-tk images here, so I figured I'd indulge that ability. Here's a couple more D&D inspired pics. I liked Atva's Workshop so much, it got me in the mood. So, here's a picture of a hexblade mercenary named Nurian Mercer (also from the same campaign as the other characters), and an embarassing picture of Ko in skimpy armour.

Congrats on the Artist's Forum, Sammi! Hope to see a lot of non-tk stuff from you now, all sorts of topics! Both these new pictures make use of moody atmoshpere, each in different ways. The Nurian Mercer portrait is rather frosty and forbidding (one can feel the cold in that mist which obscures the waning moon and the moorish landscape). Nurian seems well equiped to handle any menace, though, with his blazing sword and mystical purple aura! Very nice "glow" effects! The spotlight isolating Ko, on the other hand, is well calculated for humourous embarrassment. The costuming motifs in both instances are pleasantly complex while maintaining a credible unity. Body language effectively conveys their respective attitudes. A solid start! Let's see more... and don't neglect the comix!

Wow! Thank you much for that kind of feedback. Honestly, that's the kind of stuff I like to know. Knowing what people like to see is one of the greatest assets an artist can have. n_n

For the record on the drawing of Ko, it was actually my roommate who wanted to see her in skimpy fantasy armour. She looks cute in it, but it wasn't my idea to start with. 😉 In the end, it was good practice, so I agreed.
