I have just learned that Annette Funicello, on of the original Mickey Mouse Club members has just died today. She will be missed dearly 🙁

I have just learned that Annette Funicello, on of the original Mickey Mouse Club members has just died today.

Pardon my massive ignorance but what in the world is the Mickey Mouse Club? Was this woman affiliated with Disney Corporation?

It was a 1960's American children's TV show, produced by Disney.

It actually ran into the 90's. I remember watching it as a kid in early 80s. There are quite a few major celebrities who got their start in the Mickey Mouse Club.

Yes, I was also saddened to hear of Annette's passing. I know that she was battling MS since the late 80's. She had a good run for a number of years.
