With a heavy heart I say farewell to Johnny Carson who passed on to the next live today. Rest in peace JC. You brought laughter and joy to MY life for many years. My condolences go out to his family.
Not that they are reading this but.....my thoughts are there.

It was sad to hear about the death of Johnny Carson. He made the "Tonight Show" the staple of late night television and many of today's stand up comics got their start on the show. He was a great host and all the funny skits and great monologs he did on the show proved he was a very funny man in his own right. He will be missed by many many people including myself.

I am sad to hear of this. Johnny Carson was generous and helpful towards young comedians trying to break into the scene. I recall that Johnny was the one who discovered David Letterman and Billy Crystal, among others. He will be missed.

Its always a very unfortunate thing when one of the greats, one of the standard bearers of the business passes. Legends never die however, and Johnny Carson is no exception.

One of the greats has left us. I can still remember turning on the radio at night to him. WOC was on channel 6 and you could pick it up at the very beginnings of the FM dial. Even though I was supposed to be sleeping, I would have on the headphones and take in at least the first half hour. Very few get to leave on top. I feel he could have come back anytime and wiped the floor with Leno or Letterman. He had the uncanny knack to make anyone feel at home on stage with him and be able to seem like just and ordinary guy with the audience. You just don't see that anymore.

He will be missed....
