Got christ?

Hello yall!.. im *new* here

Anyways onto my rants. I post this for thoses that do not know Christ. For thoses that are searching for Answers to life for thoses that are Looking for peace & true love the kinda love that only jesus Christ can give you. Now im not here to Judge people & say o your going to hell your a sinner** butt Thats not why im here & thats not why i came. Im just here to uplift christ & give everybody an oppurinty to recive him & seek his face and Holy word so that they relize the true love of a true father and a friend. A friend that will never dessert you & lie to you like many friends do **in this world** well im gonna leave you with this & be off. I'm not religious, but I appreciate your honesty. I know your intentions are good, but please do not try to convert anyone to your beliefs. I don't think that's what you're doing, but some people might take this post the wrong way (not me). Again, welcome to the TMF. 🙂

There have been many long and intricate threads touching upon religion in the history of the Forum. Some of them deal with guilt and the implications of religion and a tickling fetish, others are more "pure" discussions of the role of religion in the lives of people and the history of the world. You're certainly welcome to open another, but you might find it interesting to review what's already been discussed as well... Q

Praise God! Nice witness, HisCalling. Though (as others have already stated) religion doesn't tend to go over too well as a discussion topic, I'm personally open to it. The threads Q pointed out will give you a good taste of people's general feelings here. It's a topic that doesn't get discussed often. But, when it does, there's often a lot of depth to it.

The basic summary is that there are a number of people who don't believe in God...at least not in the same sense that you and I do. There are also many (possibly the majority) who believe in God and have their own relationship with Him, but don't feel led to follow any organized religion. When these threads get started, we find that we can discuss things ONLY if we try to refrain from trying to convince others of what we believe. As long as we stick to sharing a general statement of what we ourselves believe, we're fine.

Anyway, all of that having been said...Welcome to the gang!

I agree with Ann. I don't believe in a god in any sense (not that a god can't or doesn't exist), but I'd never try to convince anyone of that. As for that general statement, here's mine:
