Today I went shopping at K-Mart They have Halloween stuff out already Never mind that it is mid-August I bought a bag of Brach's mellowcreme pumpkins Those are my favorite Halloween candy 😛

Halloween? Are you serious?
If you thought that was sad...the Hallmark store at the mall here has had Christmas ornaments out for a month now.
I started seeing Back to School stuff at the beginning of July.
Do people know how to operate a calendar anymore?

But goiod on you for scoring some candy action. I've never much cared for marshmellow candies though...my ultimate favorites are Whoppers (malted milk balls). 😀

I swear the big box stores would have the full-blown Christmas decorations up by September 1st at the least if the garlands and bells didn't clash with the bats and skeletons come Halloween.

Maybe they should hire Tim Burton as an interior decorator. 😀

Gen. Zod....you gonna share? 🙂

What are calenders? LOL These aren't marshmallow They are like candy corn That type of flavor

You know Halloween is the only day in the world where you can go up to a strangers house and get free food bearing a costume mind you. You never can go to their door any other day and ask for free food without involving the police.

ewwww...candy corn! I can take those only in very small doses. Way too sweet for me! 😛

hmmmm...

Has anyone ever seen a candy corn commercial before.....every other candy has some form of advertisement. Not candy corn. Corn that taste like candy? More like wax paper with small sprinkles of sugar.

Candy corn is like a fungus. Nobody ever comments on it, but we all know it exists.

Yes general zod that's the way it goes these days. Where I live store were advertising back to school things in early july when the kids just got out of school. It's money, money and money.

If I were in school the very LAST thing I'd be thinking of doing is running out and buying school supplies in July. But then...I don't buy Christmas stuff til December, summer clothes til summer, winter coats until it gets cold out...etc. I went out to buy summer shirts the other day and found it difficult to find. It's insane.

Oh Shit, I Forgot Adulterous Foster Grandparents Day....

Yeah, Those Menorah Peeps Should Be In The Stores Any Day Now! Oy, Vey! Lol! I Am The World's Biggest Halloween Loon, But Walking Down A Big Box Store Aisle With Halloween Stuff On One Side And Christmas Stuff On The Other, In August, No Less, Is Almost Too Much For Me. Better Order/prepare Your Thanksgiving Turkey By Labor Day Folks. No Sense In Waiting Till The Last Minute. 🙂

I know that the object of being in the retail trade business is to make as much money as possible but I do have to admit things are getting way out of hand.
Halloween candy in August
Christmas cards even before the Halloween candy is off the shelves
Thanksgiving displays right next to the Christmas displays at the grocery stores
Valentine cards a week after the Christmas cards are gone
Easter candy in the stores right after the Valentine displays come down
Fourth of July fireworks stands a week after Memorial Day
The next thing you know the retailers will figure out a way to make a buck off Labor Day and all the crap that they want to push for that will appear in the stores five minutes after midnight on July 5.
One nice thing about all this is that if you wait until the mad rush to buy all the cards has past you can save money when the retailers mark them down so they can avoid the storage costs to keep them around until next year when they will be put back on the shelf again at full price.

You have a point there, John. While things are being put on the shelf way too early they also go on clearance so early it's often before the actual holiday. lol

One thing that completely baffles me is the department store's clothing. Right now you could walk into Macy's or Sears and buy a winter coat, if you were so inclined. Likewise the Spring clothes are put out midway through winter, the summer clothes midway through spring, etc.
It's rediculous because buying clothing so out of season means a) you can't use it for months and b) you're paying full retail price for it cause it's new. If you wait until it actually gets COLD out everything's been there forever already and it's all on sale.
It's just plain stupid. Retailers need to synchronise their watches again and start over.
