You want animated cursors but not gifs? So....photoshop files then??
Sadly the .ico and the .ani are very different from the standard gif or psd files...you can't simpluy rename an animated gif as .ico and use it on a cursor...they are quite little different
😀
I can avoid this problem using a gif or a jpg as cursor (as i did in the previous demos, you can see 2 simple icons that are nothing different as normal .gif pictures
😀) but if you want something animated i have 2 ways: use the .ani cursor or use an animated gif with a little trick (the animated gif as i said, can't be used as aimated cursors, but i can load this gif and order to it to follow the cursor, and the cursor can be transparent or invisible, so it will look loke a real animated pointer
😀 but i prefer to avoid this technique because is a very hard thing (not coding, but it took a lot of processor-cycles, so it can slow the application...and we have millions of things that combined toghether can make this game slower as a pentium 133 with windows xp
😀)
To HDS: I hope that you can resolve this problem, or we will be obliged to use the method with the animatedd gifs; in that case i must find a way to speed up and tweak thecode that i did, so we can gain performance that will be lost when we use the animated gifs
😀 is like a big tetris...where all the things must be balanced
😛
