my cat has her own room...gesh i can't believe the people who are saying what??? your cat has her own room? doesn't everyone's pet?? yes it's the third bedroom...but we've always had a room for our cat..hmmm am i weird do you think?

There is a school of thought that a cat owns you not the other way around, they take over your life and home, have you noticed if you get them a basket they use it but then find another pitch, weird you izzy wierd well this old rambler is lost for words.

you are a lovely lady but weird well you can be a little odd, the whole word is weird except thee and me and even thee is a little weird, ouch that hurt

A separate room for your pet? Not so strange, says I. I used to know a guy who had a parakeet which he kept not in a cage (not all the time anyway), but in the sun porch of his second-floor apartment. Another let his kitties have the run of the living room in his three-room apartment.

I've never given any of pets their own room. Why? I can't afford to live in a mansion with a bunch of extra bedrooms. While these creatures are part of the family, they are ANIMALS. Besides, why waste the space when the animal won't even know the difference?

well our house hardly qualifies as a mansion..but the third bedroom has always been designated the cat's room..our first house only had two bedrooms, but it was considered Tigger's room..then when we acquired Stevie, David made a downstairs room just for her in the basement area..then when we moved..Tig's had her own room and Stevie her own room downstairs again in the basement..not the basement per se..but down stairs in the basement area..now that we have this house..the third bedroom was considered Stevie's room..when she died, and we got Chelsea..it became her room..maybe it's because we consider them like the children we didn't have..and over the weekend David decided to tear out the carpeting in her room to make an at home office for himself..and believe me she knew he was encroaching on her territory..stuck her nose everywhere..

uh...he is only uptight about certain things..i realize i'm too terribly open about my personal life..which is something i need to change..but i don't think even i would start a thread about something so life altering as that..

Weirder still... two of my cats share the master bedroom. I live in my parents' old house and there's no way I'd want to sleep in there anyway. My other cat (Peaches, who's 19 years old) doesn't need the hassle of the other two so she sleeps in my old bedroom. It's a four bedroom house - way more space than I need. Oh, the dogs get the family room downstairs. So the animals outnumber the people in this house. Why shouldn't they get their own space?

Well,I love and spoil my baby boy Scooby but I wouldn't give him his own room because he sleeps with me so there is no point.
