this is cool, i do not know who comes up with these math formulas but they r damn smart. i can barely do the math to figure this out let alone figure out the formula

YOUR AGE IN CHOCOLATE
Don't tell me your age; you probably would tell a falsehood anyway--but the Hershey Man will know!

It takes less than a minute. Work this out as you read ...

Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1756 .... If you haven't, add 1755.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number (i.e, how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

It's quite simple, actually.

Let x be the number that you pick (a whole number between 2 and 9 inclusive), and let y be your current age in years.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10)

You have chosen x.
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

You now have 2x

You now have 2x+5

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

You now have 100x+250
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1756 .... If you haven't, add 1755.

You now have 100x+2006 if you've had your birthday this year, and 100x+2005 if you haven't had your birthday yet this year.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
Call the year that you were born z.
2006-z=y if you've had your birthday already this year.
2005-z=y if you haven't had your birthday already this year.

In both cases, you now have 100x+y as your answer.
You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number (i.e, how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

Obviously, 100x puts x in the hundreds column, leaving y in the tens and units columns. This works as long as you are at most 99 years old.

It will fail if you are 100 years old or more. (For example, it you are 107 years old and said you want chocolate 4 times a week, your final answer will be 507.)

ah yes, Mils the math instructor. Well done sir, you know your stuff 😀

I came out as 18!!!!!!!
something wrong there---
is it because I prefer LIME to chocolate and I used the word LIME in the equation??
I am soo confused
maybe Milagros can help me
I know it has nothing to do with 1/2n(n+1)

Damn I could of used milagros in my math exams lol.
