Ok Everyone,

We all have CD's in our collection which would make most of our friends groan and might even end up on one of VH-1's "awesomely bad" shows. So which CD of yours is your cheesiest, guiltiest musical pleasure?

Mine? I absolutely love the band Vixen. Most of my music collection is stuff like AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, King Diamond, Ozzy, etc. But I was and am such a huge fan of the band Vixen. I still love their second album, Rev it Up (which nobody bought) because they wrote all the songs on it and it was a much heavier sound than the first one.

Anyone else have something lurking in the dark corner of their music collection that some might find amusing? 🙂

the hollywood brother say why so ashamed of Vixen? The hollywood brother declared them rock and roll queens a decade or more ago. As far as what the hollywood Brother hides in his collection of great rock and metal, there somewhere in the pile lies some old school elvis, neil diamond, carly simon, and barry manilow

I still listen to Hall and Oates. I'm so ashamed!! Waaaaaaaaah!!!!!

Well in my case it would be "MP3 collection" as I mostly own only CDs that I've burned myself. 😛
I am ashamed to admit that I have a few country songs in my collection (notably some Garh Brooks and Johnny Cash).
Another guilty pleasure would be real hard core 80's love ballads. I'm bad. 😀
Also I have just about every song and music video that Queen produced.
My music collection is pretty much ALL guilty pleasures. 😛

Edit: I will also add that I have a massive collection of old novelty songs.

Ace of Base and Abba.......back when I was on my "scandanavian pride" kick, I was trying to find bands from the area....there really arent many....LOL

Somewhere,in between my G n'R and Blasters albums,I own all 4 Britney Spears albums.

*sigh*

I'm so ashamed.

While HDS is ashamed of none of his music, a few songs do stick out as being different. Some of the themes I have (Mostly from animes) are in the catagory of being shunned even by otaku.

Like HDS, a great deal of my favorite songs are from animes. But in their defense, they are beautiful pieces of work and have just as much variety as the mainstream music industry does. I haven't met one otaku who is captivated by at least ONE anime song and most of the people I know well like most of what they listen to.

No, not ashamed at all. I'll go to my grave sayin that I love Vixen's music. And not for nothin they all helped me thru puberty at some point, I just know that they seem to be the group that my friends always rag on me for havin in the collection. Those girls definitely had talent. And they were great together...the second album really showcased their songwriting chops. It really is a shame that they're not together anymore.

I think I can beat you all.....

One of my cds is, "It's a SunShine Day, The Best of The Brady Bunch".

lmao!!

"I think I'll go for a walk outside now, the summer sun's calling my name, I'm happy now!"

For me, it's a Japanese group called "Sonja Wonderland" who did the music for the Tenchi Muyo TV series. I had a friend of mine pick it up when he went to Japan a couple years back.

Now that you mention it,I have a Partridge Family greatest hits album.

the hollywood brother will get ragged for this but he has numeorus rock ballads and lovesongs in his colection. the reality is outside of the hollywood brother tough exterior beats the heart of a true romantic. this explains why the hollywood brother is always so sad as he is since the hollywood brother has realized that his chances of a true love have dwindled down so dam low thateven the hollywood brother has trouble seeing how far in the negativethe chances are.

My friends are surprised that as someone who rarely swears, I own the scandalous 2 Live Crew album "As Nasty As They Wanna Be."

Don't feel that way HB. I believe there is someone for everyone, and you will find love one day.

"Try not to frown, you never know who is falling in love with your smile."

O.K. Brady Bunch wins so far, but I admit they did have some catchy music...
Once in a while I crave listening to The Monkees, The B-52s, David Bowie....My husband just rolls his eyes. I miss the music from the 80's although I generally stick with rock from the 60's and 70's for my day-to-day music. But I believe what would really get me in trouble here is an old box of records I have somewhere that includes all three Muppet Movies, 5 Monkees albums (including an instrumental Monkees played by the London Philharmonic), O.M.D., The Waitresses, and even a Howard Jones. Yikes!
I should find that box and start selling them on eBay as collector items since I don't think I'll ever own a record player again now that I've got mp3s.

You know, I'm really not that ashamed......

T.a.t.u cd

i dont know, i just think its really catchy

this prodigy cd. not sure y i just thought some of the songs were cool and i had my frend burn it for me

what wrong with the t.a.t.u. the hollywood brother had no problem with them in there heydey

my most shamed cd's?

1. britney spears (a gift from my sister which i'm scarily addicted to. DAMN SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES!)

2.Cindy Lauper - Girls just wanna have fun (great song to listen aloud while alone cleaning house.)

3. Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weenie Yellow Bikini (forgot the artist, but a little something i dance to when i'm in a real happy mood.

mmh so many possibilities...........hey still rest Abba of course ( i have no album but i like some songs, well it's not a big shame thought ) 🙂

The shame would be if i listen to country music. Hopefully i'm not.
Sorry for the fans, it's just my opinion ( i don't want this thread to turn in flames as others do 😉 )

2.Cindy Lauper - Girls just wanna have fun (great song to listen aloud while alone cleaning house.)

That gives me the most hilarious mental image ever to cross my mind. Does that make me a terrible person? 😀 😛
