Everytime I use hacha it only lets me see a section of the downloaded file and then stops playing, does anyone else have this problem? or know how to combat it?

Also, when downloading quicktime clips, it only shows the sound and no picture, any help with this?

I cant win lol, I either get both sound and picture but it cuts off after a bit, or i get the full length clip but with no picture! please help lol

You download all parts and after unzip them (all) ?. If the answer is yes, then you get a confirmation window telling that all is ok (after of join the clip) ?. If the clip is perfectly assembled, then the trouble isn't hacha, but maybe a codec needed.

I was thinking the same thing as Cos -- do you have the latest version of Quicktime and any other media player you are using?

What codec do i need then? What is a codec anyway? lol, sorry for my ignorance on this matter 😛

I have the up to date versions of both yes.

I unzip them all and then use hatcha to reassemble it all, but it stops half way through and comes up with a red cross and spanish words and numbers, which i assume means that it only downloaded a portion of it for some reason. So for wmv files or mpegs i get the picture but only a bit of the full length deal, and in quicktime i get the whole thing but with no picture! Its annoying and puzzling at the same time.

A codec is a "compressor-decompressor," a piece of software that makes a video playable. Each format requires its own codec, but most needed codecs are already installed with the media players.

It sounds like you are having a Hacha problem, so I would suggest checking this thread: http://www.tickletheater.com/showthread.php?t=16705. Then try deleting your current version of Hacha, downloading the Hacha Version 3.4 that I have posted in that thread, then unzip it and see if using the newer Hacha solves your problem.

Best of luck,

I think I have managed to fix it now thank you. I downloaded hacha 3.4 and I dont think I was putting all the unzipped files in the same folder, which I have now done and it seems to be working for now, woo hoo! Thank you for all your help 🙂

Since we're all here, I have a problem with posting splitted clips. I can split or join them, but when I try to post the splitted segments, I keep getting an "invalid extension" warning, despite the segments being .avi.

@ Bored: Glad to be of help 🙂

@ Shark: You need to zip the pieces after they are split in order to post them, because split files usually have double extensions like .avi.0, which would make them "invalid" for posting. Anything with .zip or .rar should be good to go 🙂

I'm having a problem opening Hacha. Everytime I click open it, it says "OPEN WITH" and it shows me programs (like note pad, paint shop, etc...) that is already on my computer. Am I missing something, like a program from the net that will open hacha? Please, I need help.
