Hacked Site

I just tried to access Tickling Emporium, and I see it was ostensibly hacked by someone who put what appears to be Arabic text and audio at that location. Does anyone have an update on when this will be fixed, or why it happened? Thanks.

Google Translator says the Arabic text translates to "The Ferocious Monster."

HisDivineShadow's site was hacked the same way.

I've seen a lot of other sites hacked by this same email address, but they were hacked differently, and expressed anti-US and anti-Israel sentiments. He seems to choose sites completely at random though.

Indeed, they did hit HDS's site, or rather his server. They've been around, in various forms and differing groups, for several years now. They hack into a server and write over any index files with their own page, as you saw at the examples above. We're lucky they seem more intent on "showing off" than causing real damage.

Just to be sure, HDS'll be saving the TT index file(s) in case we do get hit.

HDS sometimes switches from third to first and back and so on and so forth within posts, paragraphs, or sentences. 😛 He doesn't know why, aye aye.

If you want to call it that. I see it more as sad, sad that someone can only get their kicks from defacing the sites of others. Not everyone keeps a backup of all their files as I do, so this could really hurt someone. Of course, as I said, they could have done much, much worse.

They could have, I assume, deleted everything on the server, rather than just index pages. Restoring a few pages is simple. Restoring databases, programs, cron jobs, et cetera, et cetera, would be a major problem. 'Course, they really did do a "half-assed" job, since the image on my defaced site ceased to work not long after they did their defacing. If someon hacks me, I expect them to have working images on their replacement page. 😛
