Halloween Costumes anyone?

Hey all,

does anyone have any good ideas for halloween costumes? i was going to go with Duff man (simpsons...would be perfect), but its going to involve slightly more work than im willing to put in, i think. plus my girlfriend wants us to have, well, i guess dress up as something together maybe? like a clark kent and lois lane type dealie. so does anyone have any good suggestions for what a guy and a girl can dress up as?

and of course ive already been down the naughty schoolgirl / dirty professor road. and its not happening. or so she thinks....

but seriously id love to hear some suggestions, maybe even things people have seen in previous years that have stood out. thanks!
 
You could do Neo and Trinity, that may be kinda cool.

Me and my girlfriend were thinking about doing Ozzy and Sharon Ozbourne. We can both do pretty good renditions of them...

I've been seeing these new costumes that are very popular this year and very sexually suggestive. The man in a simple white body suit with a giant plug sticking out of his midsection and the womans the same but with a socket instead. Theres also a key/lock and nut/bolt variation...might be more...found them to be funny...

It's going to take me long enough to make my daughter's "Dorthey" (wizard of oz) costume that I'm gonna be all Halloweened out by then. 😛

Worst costume I've ever seen was the ones my friends did a few years back. One of them dressed up as and egg, and about six or seven others went as sperm, and they all rand down the street chasing the egg. -_- It was bad.

Is that sarcasm? lol if so it's her favorite movie on the face of the planet (she's 3). I only got Dorothy after talking her out of being the good witch...a project I wasn't looking forward to undertaking. 😛

The sperm/egg idea is fantastic I think. That must've been hilarious. 😀
 
No, not sarcasm, I've just never seen anyone dress up as Dorothy before.

Yeah, the sperm/egg thing was great, everyone old enough to understand was getting a kick out of it.

'Cept the cops. Some parent didn't apreciate the little sex ed lesson and called the police. They gave everyone warnings and teld them all to go home.

i like the plug/socket idea, but as were going to a costume party with every single one of her coworkers, im not sure thats gonna happen...

i reall like the trinity/neo idea, too, rainesage. now its just a matter of finding lots and lots of leather.....cheaply. and quickly.

i also considered doing peter and lois from family guy, or brian and lois, or some variation....but im not sure everyone really knows about family guy (even though its on 2 differnet networks 6 days a week....), so i think i have to scrap it.

that sperm/egg thing is fantastic, btw!
 
you can do your duffman idea if your wife either dresses up as the dude that teamed with duffman to move the isotopes baseball team or she can go as spuds who is another alcohol spokesperson that was on a hit fox television series
 
Two relatives of mine had a cool idea. She dressed as a slinky and seductive cat and he dressed in a tuxedo that looked perfectly normal from the front but from behind there were a few deep slashes across his back. 😛

That's some good thinkin'. Or you could go as Duffman and she could go as Slurms McKenzie! It works on so many levels! Both are rambuntious drink spokesman/worm. Both are in shows by Matt Groenig. Both are highly quotable.

How well does your wife say "Whimmy Wham Wham Wozzle! Let's party!"

have a party at the bar I go to now and then...going as a gangster....no, not like 2 Pac....but a 30's gangster...tommy gun, pin stripe suit..and the hat....know what? have a better idea..one of the lovely women go with me, we can be "Bonnie and Clyde"

What i'm going as!!!

I'm gonna dress up as Terry Bogard, from the SNK Fighting Series, King of Fighters. I already have the whole suit, its badass. Red Converse Hi-Tops, A hat that says Fatal Fury on it, and A red vest w/ big white star on the back.
 
Who I'm/was going to dress up as should be obvious. Richard Roxbourgh took Dracula to a whole new level as far as appearance is and personality are concerned. I just so happen to bare a ressemblance to Roxbourgh too. I've also got long hair as Vladislav does in Van Helsing. I'd make a perfect Dracula.

The only problem is I didn't put much thought into it and haven't got to looking for one of those old british navy captain/admiral uniforms thats black with gold trim. Dustin Hoffman wore something very similar when he played the role of Captain James Hook in Hook, but I can't find actual costumes like this.

Does anyone know of a place where I can find a black one, like Dracula wears in Van Helsing? It may be too late, and I doubt that any costume store I could find would sell something this fancy and authentic.

I can still try for next year though. Maybe theres a place I could find (like an opera house, etc) that would let me rent such a uniform or point me to a place that could make me a coat like thats custom-fit for me.

That coat is whats key here. Does anyone know of any place online that sells such period piece uniforms or costumes?

Haha I got an idea ... you dress up as Don "Tickler" Turtelli and your girlfriend would be April... maybe you could pull up a little stunt there or maybe improvise (don't forget a feather peeking out of your pocket) *just joking!* 😉

Still a funny idea, if REAL people would actually "act" the TMNT episode spot, where April "gets it" 😀

Normally I'd say eBay but it's a bit late now.

I've had success finding old milatary uniforms at antique stores. Garage sales on some occasions work too.
 
This year i am going as Dr. Zoidberg from futurama. Took me 2 weeks to make the costum, but it was worth it.
 
i was gonna go as Dr. Zoidberg from Futurama or Peter Griffin from Family Guy, as i am told i do GREAT impressions of both.

what can i say? i'm addicted to Adult Swim.

Vlad is there an online version of an army/navy surpluss store? Or maybe a big one within driving distance of you?
 
Theres this place that opened up just for this month probably (as I'm sure it will be gone after, thats why these buildings are always for rent and almost always empty), but I looked at the ad they put in the paper, and they do have Dracula costumes, but its just the typical Dracula costume that everyone knows about.

I wanted the Van Helsing Dracula look. Its more me and fits my personality. As for a surplus store, I just highly doubt they'd sell that sort of thing. Anyways, times up. I can do this next year. I've skipped so many halloweens anyways, so its no big deal. If anyone wants to prove me wrong about army/navy surplus stores that actual have said uniform, go right ahead.

Its too bad I'm not a costume designer. That combined with my artistic skills would be really really cool as I could make anything I want as long as there is material for it.

It would be cool for example if I could create a costume for a woman to wear that looks like the one in the vampire picture I just added to my forum.
