I suppose this is the proper place for this post. I am offering a piece of non-tickling artwork, though it's sculpture rather than graphics. This Sailor Moon statue was created by me as a birthday gift for a friend back when the series was fairly new in the US (mid-80s, if memory serves). It wasn't molded but constructed by a "built-up" method which entailed heating pieces of PVC plastic into liquid with a hot-knife, then spreading them over a wire armature. The figure stands approximately 8 inches from sole to crown, a common height for commercial models of this type. Note the wealth of fissures in Bunny's braids… the heating process turned the plastic brittle and susceptible to cracking. Only the wire underpinning kept them from breaking off altogether.
I do have other plastic figures made in this same way (none of them quite so extravagant or large) which I'll present just as soon as I can find them and photograph them. Most of these are movie monster statues, which fit my personal interests more closely than did anime.
