Well this is after Sharapova lost to Henin-Hardenne.
Sharapova dreaded the walk to the change room. Her arrogant bet to her fellow players was going to come back to haunt her. She had bet some 20 players that she would win the tournament. But her 6-4 3rd set defeat to the French Open Champion and HEavy Favourite Justine Henin-Hardenne meant that she would have to comply to the bet's requirements. SHe walked into the women's locker rooms and got undressed. Justine was not far and whispered into her ear "9:00 p.m, Sunday 29th January, no clothes, Chilton Hotel, Melbourne. Be there!" Maria felt a chill run down her back. What a horrible day, Sunday would be.
Sunday night 8:00 p.m. The celebrations of Federer's narrow 5 set victory over Bagdatis and the 3 set victory by Justine had been long and fruitful. Maria was not looking forward to what was coming. After Saturday's victory, Justine rang Maria to remind her of the details. Life was cruel. Maria arrived, dressed in blue shorts and a white tank top, a contrast to her blue tennis dress she usually wore. All 20 players were there and waiting. Kim Clijsters, Lindsay Davenport, Amelie Mauresmo, Justine Henin-Hardenne, Martina Hingis, Mary Pierce, Elena Dementieva, Svetlana Kutzenova, Jennifer Capriati, Anastacia Myskina, Serena and Venus Williams, Daniel Hantuchova, Nadia Petrova, Natasha Zvonerava, Tatiana Golovin, Ana Ivanovic, Giselle Dulko Retired Players Amanda Coetzer and Anna Kournikova. They all clapped as she walked in. The humiliation was complete. "Ladies, can I have your attention?" asked Justine. "While Patty Schynder and Elena Litzketova (Can't spell her name! Bronze Medalist 2000 Sydney!) will be kicking themselves, we lucky 20 who accepted the bet, will now get to assist our little Siberian Siren in a few games!" added Justine. There was a roar from the 20 girls in the reserved hall. "Now some years ago, 2001 Martina bet a few of us, she would win the 2002 Australian Open and we got her!" Justine reminded everyone. Snug in Serena's arms, Martina blushed. "Well this year's games will be more adventurous in nature!"
We have decided to leave this one open because it's not Australia Day today! Happy Days to all!
Love,

P.S Carmel Cutie we do plan to finish them, but after the tennis!!!!!!!!
