Methinks for alot of people it may have something to do with the tsunami disaster. One would, almost, or does feel guilty celebrating when something this horrible happens.

@ Bud Bob (if you don't mind me calling you that)- Yeah. I almost felt guilty having the fun I did today. But then I remember that my thoughts, my prayers and my money are going over there to the victims, I'm doing everything I can. I imagine for alot of people this is how they got by without feeling too bad about it, at least to the point where they decided not to celebrate at all.

Its very noble of your mother though. 🙂

@ dussicar- Not that its any of my business how you live your life, but if you take that "its just another day" attitude toward the future, it will just be another day and you'll repeat any undesirable cycle you may be in. I was like that before, so I know at least a bit of how you feel about it. My apologies if I've offended you.

Nothing special about new years anyway. To me, it was supposed to be just another party night! Although, the possibility of me getting drunk blonde pussy was significantly higher than normal, and if anybody has seen my NWE thread, you'll realize that this did not happen. Honestly, it's just another day, like Easter, or Halloween. But Christmas.....no. Christmas means I get to drink all the family's alcohol supply and get gifts, so, that makes it special. What did I get on a new years eve? The fear of going to jail. So f*ck that. New Years ain't shit. 😀
