The sister's weight restricted the girl's breathing and she eventually succumbed to the lack of oxygen. I can't remember where I read this, so I can't substatiate this...sorry.
I also can't vouch for the validity of this story, it might even be just an urban legend. Wouldn't the girl start to turn cyanotic? How long did the sister sit on her after she stopped moving? Do I watch Wwwwwaaaaaayyyy too much CSI? It's hard to tell.
I once read (sorry, can't remember where) that in Old Germany, one form of execution was to take a condemned prisoner who had been discovered to be ticklish in the torture chamber and place him/her in a sort of shrinking straightjacket, then begin to seriously tickle the exposed body parts. As the prisoner cried out, the jacket would shrink during the exhales but not expand again as much for an inhale, so the prisoner was slowly suffocated to death. This is why I hate to see ticklees in doubled-over or other chest-constricted positions. Assuming the tickling is for real, this can cause painful discomfort or worse.mike823 said:If anyone has seen any articles, can you post them? Or just discuss your thoughts on it.

One girl wrote to her explaining that her grandmother told her when she lived in Ireland back in the 1940's a man had two wives die mysteriosly. One night people heard hysterical laughing coming from his home. It was later discovered that he was tying up his wives to the bed posts and tickling their bare feet with feathers. I don't know the authenticity of this story. It was something I read when feedback was given because a woman was very discusted with her boyfriend always pinning her down and tickling her. She had very ticklish feet, ribs, and stomach. And all her boyfriend wanted to do was tickle her and she too was afraid for her life.
