A little tidbit I was thinking of, maybe with a brain fried from test taking lol.
US dollars are always called the "Greenback" or "Green", but, has it ever occurred to people that, with the new counterfeiting measures, money really isn't "Green" anymore.
I'll go through dollar by dollar denomination of US Money.
The $1, About the most "Green" of them all, since its unchanged for decades,.
The $5. White and Black, with Stars, and a big pink 5 on the back
The $10 Kind of peach, orange, and red
The $20,. Maybe the most green of the larger bills, but also with blue, and white mixed in.
The $50. Has purple and pink in it, with a red white and blue flag.
The new $100. No one has one yet, but from the pictures of the new one, kind of gold in places.
Can anyone tell me why these bills are called "Greenbacks". They seem to be every other color but.
The old denominations of bills, yes, all green, but these, anything but.
Thoughts?
