Have Any Of You Ever Had Authentic Chinese Cuisine?

Well if you think it is General Tso's chicken or Chicken Lo Mein think again because you won't find that at real Chinese restaurants. The Chinese-American we are used to is not Chinese food at all.

Have you ever eaten at an authentic/traditional Chinese restaurant? How did you like it there?

I can go you one better. For the college fellowship group I was in, a pharmacy graduate student from Taiwan made us some authentic Taiwanese food from scratch.

Unfortunately, he used pharmaceutical grade MSG to make it. MDJ and I were both sick all night and the early morning of the next day. To this day, she will not eat Chinese food ever again...

I've had authentic Japanese. That is about as close as I get. Unless of course you count mabo dofu. I've consumed that in mass quantities.

I live in chinese part of the town... so yes. And it ain't half bad, it is interesting. You probably couldn't eat most of it, but it is good and unique.

Yes, once. And it was great.

A friend of mine is from China, and so is her uncle (no shit). And, he used to work at chinese restaurant in China, so when he came to Croatia once, my friend talked him into making a dinner for us.

Again, it was GREAT!

I have ate at Chinese food restaurants but it is nothing like if you went to China and ate because they use hardly any sugar in China and their food isn't rich like ours.Of course since I live in Louisiana I would be very disappointed with the food anywhere else in the entire country.That is one thing Louisiana can brag all it wants about we have the best food!
