having trouble entering the chatroom

i haven't been to the chatroom in a while, but when i try to go there, its says it requires Java compatible web brower, and i can't see the button to click to connect to the chat room. i haven't been on since my comp crashed and had to re-install windows. please help.
 
www.java.com on the right hand side theres a big button to click for a free download
