Ok. A few days ago I post a thread about kazaa files sharing.
Then I reply about the penalties and illegal facts of copying a VHS video to exchange for antoher tickling video with someone you met on the web for persoanl enjoy, not profit or obtain some money.
My thread was deleted and Myriads saids that kind of threads are not allowed.
I apologize if I offend some companies about my thread.
I am a regular costumer of tickling videos, to be honest, yes I made two exchanges with people in my country. I copy 3 titles and recive 3 titles.
You think I am a fool to said that, but it's hard to refuse kind of deal if you have so extreme enjoyment watching tickling.
accept my excuses and please refer me about the posible complications for doing that activity.

Basically the complications that you will suffer here on the TMF for trading videos is that your posts will be deleted as you saw. The tickling video companies help make this forum possible, so we don't allow such trading of thier to be organized here.

The real world complications are many, but they will vary based on how cranky the owners of the copyrights you are violating are, and how far they decide to follow up on your trading.

it is simply about copyright laws..... when a company makes a product, be it a tickling video, musical recording, or whatever, they get a copyright, this means that it is their property, and can only be distributed by them..... thats how people can make money from creating things.... if you copy a video, whether it is the three stooges or a tickling video, and trade it for a profit (and yes, other videos do constitute a profit, if it is a COPY you made) then you are robbing a company of their profit. if our moderators let this kind of stuff happen here, then this whole website would be guilty of breaking the law, and would quickly disappear..... lots of people copy and trade tapes of all kinds, you just have to go through channels other than this.

you reffered to "in your country", and I have no idea where that is, and some laws may very well be different there, but in the capitalist society of the USA, copyrights are very very important.... just look at the whole napster fiasco....

surely nobody is angry at you if you just didn't know what you were doing is wrong. it is just a matter of informing you, and protecting the TMF...

at least thats my opinion.....I'm just some random guy who comes here....

copyright law is protected by international treaty in the VAST majority of countries. I personally think it's a direct slap in my face when people do that, and no-one who does it is welcome here on the TMF.

As Jeff said, copyright laws are international, and Mexico -- where you're from -- is a member of both the Berne Convention Treaty and the NAFTA. Remember, in the U.S. -- where most tickle vids are produced -- copyright is granted AUTOMATICALLY, so probably every single video you're looking at is copyrighted at some level.

I don't mean to be an alarmist. You might want to research your personal implications if you're found guilty of copyright /intellectual property infringement in Mexico.

I undertand your angry jeff, I never copy a video of your company, (because I don't have the pleasure to buy one), what happen to the guys on e-bay who sells a complilation of magict videos and what can happen to me if I bought one of tese videos (i never did jeff, so don't worry) My doubts are cleared now, Thanks to this forum, and I promise not to do that again, maybe in a near future I can have my own company and produce videos.
By the way jeff, did i need to erase all my files that I share in kazaa (some of them of MagicT) to stay in law and be here in this great forum?

And hopefully repeat copyright offenders will lose their posting priviledges here. But that's not my call. It's Myriad's and Jeff's. But if the same person continuously tries to "make plans" to illegally distribute copyrighted material, I don't see what would hold the Mods back from zapping their accounts. Again, that is up to them.

I'll have everyone know now that we ARE very cranky when it comes to people stealing our hard work. We follow up more than most companies on trading and reselling copies of our material. We are currently hot on the trail of 3 different individuals and will have no regrets about prosecuting them to the fullest extent of the law. They know what they are doing is wrong and they still do it, so they must face the consequences when the time comes.
I think of myself as a easy going, fun loving person, and indeed try to be. 😛 But I WILL NOT let anyone steal from me! That's where I draw the line on easy going. I think all of you other tickling video companies should come to the forefront and speak your mind on the subject too. We all have to let these people know we are watching and we will not stand for it.

As long as this guy is selling the original copy (that he bought) on E-bay he is fine. This also assumes that he didn't make a copy for himself and then sold the original. The way the law has been generally applied is that the copyright holder owns the material on the tape, but that you own the cassette that it is on. It's the same as buying a used CD or record. You can do anything you want with THAT cassette, except copy it or show it to others for profit.

Now, if this guy is copying his tapes, and then selling the copies, he can be sued by the copyright holder. They can sue for monetary damages, or just to have the guy stop. As for what would happen to you, I don't know.

I just want to add that people who make those videos don't make a lot of money on the internet. There are so many competitors and so many people trading that every video sold is important. We can't prevent people from trading videos, but if everyone starts understanding how a little 20 or 30 bucks here and there is important to such companies, it will really help. It's a matter of respect if we want to keep getting new material from those companies..

I align myself wholly with this post. I couldn't have said it better. Every video sold IS important. Every single one.
