Still, when you think of unimpeachable honesty and a dispassionate commitment to finding the truth, Henry Kissinger is not a name that rushes to mind. I'm dubious enough about the prospects of the investigation given that the Bush administration has spent over a year trying to kill it before grudgingly acceding to public pressure; having Dr. Kissinger in charge does not make me more sanguine.

But it's nice that he now has a job that will keep him in America, seeing as he'll be arrested as a war criminal if he sets foot in half the countries in the world.

A funny thing...

If these are all "secrets", then how do you know they're true, btw? Unless you're a high level intelligence op, I'm afraid I must not consider you a very good source of what happened during those events. But, even assuming (and it's a big assumption) that any of those are correct, who better to set on the trail of secrets than someone who knows how they operate? This isn't a job for Julia Childs guys....and it will mean extensive travel throughout the world. I doubt Kissinger is too worried about being hauled into court anywhere. I'm adopting a wait and see attitude, although unlike Moses, I don't have access to beer.... Q
