On a warm summer's evenin', in a motel next to somewhere
I met up with a cavebear. We were both too anxious to sleep.
So we took turns a-starin' out the window at the donut shop.
When tension overtook us, I began to speak.
I said, "Girl, I've made a life out of ticklin' people's bodies.
Findin' where their spots are, from their necks down to their heels.
And if you don't mind my sayin', I know you've never been tickled,
If you'll lie back on the bed there, I'll show you how it feels."
So I handed her the water bottle, and she drank down the last swallow.
Then she lay down on her back, and kicked off each little shoe.
And as my hands lowered to her ribcage, her face lost all expression.
I said, "I know you're feelin' nervous, girl, but I wanna make your dreams come true."
You've got to know when to pinch lightly, know when to bite slightly
Know when to trace your nails, and know when to rake.
You never use a feather, when your fingers just work wonders.
There'll be time to use a feather, when it really makes her quake.
Every tickler knows that the secret to survivin'
Is knowin' when to leave the ribs, and move down to the feet.
'Cause every hand's got fingers, and every finger tickles
And you have to move all around the lee to sustain the tickle heat.
And when I finished ticklin', her laughter calmed down slowly.
(Part of being a tickler is knowing when to say when.)
We both were breathin' heavy, her eyes sparkling up to me,
And with the sultriest voice I ever heard she breathed, "Please do that again."
You've got to know when to pinch lightly, know when to bite slightly
Know when to trace your nails, and know when to rake.
You never use a feather, when your fingers just work wonders.
There'll be time to use a feather, when it really makes her quake.
