Do anybody remember a comedy show by the name of "Herman's Head"?

If you don't, then I am not suprised as it did not catch on with the mainstream, hence it's cancellation after only 2 seasons, but I thought that was the funniest show ever written.

It would come on Sunday Nights and I got home from work just in time to catch it and the line-up would be

Simpsons
Herman's Head
Married....With Children
Charlie Hoover/"Whoops" (both were pulled within the 1st season)

Herman's Head was created (I think) by the producers of Married....With Children, but never caught on

Damn I miss that show.....does anybody else know what the hell I am talking about, or am I destined to be the only viewer of that show?

Herman.s head was awesome...4 people inside herman's head to show what happens when making every day decisions...well written sit-com

I remember it too. I accidentally taped an episode once really late at night. Herman was trying to break the world record for sitting in his office chair, something like that.

You know the guy who played the part of "Animal" (lust) was the same person who played Max in "Armaggedon".

Do you still have a copy of it.....please say you do.... please say you do.... please say you do

The funniest HH show

The funniest Herman's Head show I recall was when they all took a trip (Herman, Jay, Louise, Heddy, and Mr Brakken (Herman's boss) to a nudist beach...

Louise: Jay I've always know you had one, I just didn't know it was that small

Jay: HEY!

Louise: I'm talking about your appendix scar

Jay: Oh I thought you meant my....

Louise: Oh, that's very nice, too

MR Brakken (trying to break the ice): Go and feel your nakedness)

(at that point Jay grabs Heddy's butt)

Heddy: He said **YOUR NAKEDNESS**, you sex-driven pervert

hell no I don't still have it, sorry. It was about 10 years ago, and your puny earth technology couldn't handle it.

Well, Even though I thought it was a lousy show, I did watch "Herman's Head" every Sunday night. It was notable that the show had two folks who voice The Simpsons: Hank Azaria(Jay) and the gal who's Lisa Simpson. (can't remember the actress' name).

The person who does the voice of Lisa Simpson is Yeardly Smith, who played Louise on Herman's Head.

God I am such a **dork** for knowing all this 🙂

Well, thanks anyway **sniff** 🙁

I also remember "Herman's Head," as well as "Flying Blind" starring Tea Leoni, and the forerunner of MAD TV, "In Living Colour." All great early FOX comedies that didn't last long enough. 😀

What was "Flying Blind"? The name sounds familiar, but I cannot picture it.

Plot Summary: This short-lived FOX sitcom featured Neil, a shy repressed guy who meets the girl of his dreams, Alicia, who is gorgeous and wild. Amazingly, they begin to date and the striking contrast between their personalities provides the basis for ongoing slapstick comedy. Neil's embarrassing family and Alicia's crazy roommates and friends play supporting roles.

Trust me, Tea Leoni was VERY sexy on this show. 😀

Flying Blind rocked! It was a forerunner of Dharma and Greg.

Herman's Head was another show that I really liked. I especially like the episode where Herman's soft side (played by a very cute actress) spent most of the half-hour bound and gagged by the other three brain-tenants. 😀

Herman's Head was terrific. Personally, I loved the animal portion of his mind because it so closely mirrored my own. 😀 I also liked the feminine part of his brain, but not so much for her sensitivity as much as for her bod. 😉

To me however, the best sitcom ever was Married With Children. It's true that Christina Applegate turned into one hot babe, but that's not my primary reason for viewing. I swear that Peg Bundy is a character modelled after my ex-wife.

Because I have almost always worked evenings I didn't catch Married With Children until it was brought to my attention by my daughter. She loves her mother dearly, but when she saw her first episode she came to me and told me of the similarity between her mom and Peg Bundy. (Looks, body, mannerisms, the works!)

Damn... with this foot tickling thing I'm into, you'd think I'd have realized that, just like Al Bundy, I had a good shot at a stellar career in ladies shoes!

One last point... Psycho Dad is my hero! 😛

I remember an episode of The Simpsons where Lisa yealls "Mom, Bart says I sound like the gilr on Herman's Head..."

And Marge says something like she shouldn't be watching that show.

When I was in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, the class would sometimes watch an educational show on PBS with a pre-teen Yeardly Smith as an occasional cast member.

Anyone remember Beans Baxter? Parker Lewis Can't Lose?

I don't recall Beans Baxter, but I loved watching Parker Lewis.... damn I miss those cheesy shows.

I used to watch Herman's Head all the time. Also, I watched Married With Children, religiously. Does anyone remember Chris Elliot's show "Get a Life", where he was a 30 year-old paper boy still living with his parents? That show was funny as hell.

I also remember "Beans Baxter" AND "Get a Life"! Chris Elliot is one funny dude, and if I'm not mistaken, there was a tickling scene in one episode of Beans--M/M, unfortunately, but I recall this guy (NOT Parker Lewis) being hung out of a window by his ankles by some criminal who took off his shoe, tickled his socked foot, and let him go, whereupon he fell into a trash bin. 😛

I beg of you, if anyone ever quotes me on these threads, please fix my spelling!

I'm so embarrased....

Yeah, that was on Beans..... Get a Life is on video now. Cabin Boy had a funny cameo with Bob Elliot.
