There's a world out there,
But I live in my own,
A tiny corner in this house,
My seat, my throne.

I am all on my own,
And always have been,
It's just easier that way,
If you can comprehend.

For times I've been foolish,
And opened my heart,
Mistreated it was,
Shot with a dart.

Now I know better,
Heart and trust locked away,
The world seeks to hurt me,
So, hermit, I'll stay.​
