Davy Jones...one time teen idol...passed away yesterday at the age of sixty six from an apparent heart attack...how his death brings back memories of myself and my sister eagerly watching the newest episode of The Monkees..

I of course had a major crush on Davy...so my sister had to settle for Peter Tork...

Davy later appeared on an episode of The Brady Bunch, as himself...then later in a parody in The Brady Bunch Movie...

He was extremely gorgeous lol...

def a sad loss. i was shocked when i seen the news yesterday. their tv show went off the air a few years before i was born, but i became familiar with their music and the show during the mid 80s when they had that revival album, mtv was showing the reruns and the slightly remixed version of "daydream believer" hit the pop charts again (in 1986).

Stick around, the theater doesn't have a great deal of action, but the people are friendly for the most part and there isn't much of that drama crap here.

When my friend attempted to tell me the news, he mistakingly announced "There's only one Beatles left!" This was obviously wrong, but I didn't know that at the time. So I was like "Really? Which one?" to which he replied "Uh... I don't know... The one that plays the tambourine" I was kinda dumbfounded at this statement. This didn't help me much because as far as I'm aware of, both are just as capable of playing tambourine as well as the other. Then my mom chimed in and she said "Wait a minute... Do you mean The Monkees?" My friend considered this for a minute and eventually said "Yes. I always get those two mixed up." Then I was like "Oh I get it now! It was Davy! Okay." Then their was sadness.

Rest in peace.

My mother met the The Monkees. She was in an elevator when they got in with her on the next floor down. She also met B.B. King. He said she had "nice cheek bones". ^_^
