In stead of wasteing your time on a tickling board why don't you go to a real bad site like a group called KKK? Or how about Satin worshipping site? Out of all these sites you come to a tickling site!

Now don't get me wrong I'm a strong beliver in God, and I try to follow his word, but I'm not perfect like you!

Now get it right for once God didn't come to you and tell you to try and change us and nor did Jesus, so knock it off and if you say your not coming back than don't

(And also I'm surprised some of you asked where the tickler was in the pic Scotty posted here. Well in case you don't know or don't care thats Jesus and thats when he was crusified on the cross, died for our sins so not only Jews can get into heaven, but also the other faiths in God! It shocks me how you laugh at him like this and make fun of religion! Just becuase a few problems happen in our lives we chuck our faith in God out the damn window and pass a joke about it while at a dinner table that the same God you laughed at provided for you. Your all lucky God isn't a tyrant!)

Alot of you know me and you never seen me like this religion is somthing I take real serious, now please lets drop this and ignore Scotty.

Listen Here

I was once very angry at scott, but then I woke up and came to realize that he has the right to express his opinions. I believe in God as well, but I dont share the same point of view as scott. I think we should just leave the man alone for Christ sake. I dont think you should dog on him just for sharing his opinions with us here at the TMF.

Several of us have said the same thing about Scott's posts. Why not just ignore the thread if you disagree...they are openly posted and contain a small range of topic. There's not much reason to view them if you consider them as offensive somehow.

Belief in God requires effort

Like anything else, belief in God requires a willingness to open ones' mind. It requires accepting there is so much more than we can see, smell and hear. We all want proof, and yet the very definition of "faith" is belief without proof.

Nobody ever wants to be "preached" to...but sometimes the person "preaching" may be preaching the truth. You may not want to believe it or hear it, but every now and then, (I believe), we hear the "truth" but just refuse to beleive it because it's not convenient for us at the present time. I like to think that within all of us is the knowledge of what's truly 'right' and 'wrong'...we just have to be willing to listen a little harder sometimes.

People have posted before about this topic, how some people, when ever anything 'bad' happens in their life, they chuck all their values and beliefs, especially religious ones, right out the window. Being religious doesn't always mean that everything is going to be rosy in your life. "In every life some rain must fall." Pick any cliche, but there is an element of truth to most of them.

Now, I'm not saying that anytime something terrible happens, that this is God's way of 'testing' us; (I don't think He's that vindictive.) But it is a chance for us to really open our eyes wide and 'look' for Him in the midst of tragedy.

Take the Sept. 11 attacks...where was God? If you ask me, He was working through the courage and valor of all those firemen who selflessly gave their lives in a quest to save others. And he was working in ANY PERSON who tried to help out in whatever way they could when the chips were down.

Christianity gets a bad reputation because it seems to come across as a faith where everyone just suffers, suffers, suffers....(believe me, I've felt that way myself at times...)But there are so many more good things than bad, but it takes EFFORT to try and find them.

Those of you who shoot down Christianity for its teachings, allow me to dispel some rumors....

*Christianity has no place for people who bomb abortion clinics. Violence in the name of God (and Christ) goes against everything Christ stood for. (This means you, terrorists.)
*Jesus said "Love your neighbor as I have loved you." (What's the harm in that?)
*Jesus taught people to help others. (Again, is that wrong?)
*Jesus taught us to forgive our enemies. (Is this hard? Usually it's damn near impossible...but it's been done. What's the word? EFFORT.)
*Not All non-Christians are going to hell. Our God is not that "one-sided" in that respect.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't be so quick to dismiss something because you don't understand it or because it seems silly to you. Being a Christian requires a lot more than just "being." It requires effort and work and love and peace and every other good thing you can think of.

Those of you who are "on the fence" about all things religious, I would encourage you (if you have even the slightest interest in searching for faith) to continue searching. (By the way, Christianity is NOT about brainwashing. It's not a cult, even if some extremists sometiems present it that way.)

It's not always an easy journey...(I've been catholic since the day I was born, and I have considered chucking it all away many times...but I always find a reason to stay with it....)....but the journey is NOT fraught with all things negative.

There is much so good in it. I swear it.

Good luck!

P.S. Heard a great quote from the movie "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story":

"Many people wonder about how Bruce Lee died...I prefer to remember how he lived."

-- Linda Lee

And that, my friends, is Christianity...all about how we live. Sure, we all know Christ died on the corss (for us), but remember also what he did in his short time on Earth... 🙂

Sounds like a stroke of genius to me.
Also, people will blame God for problems or for not stopping a tragic occurrence. He gave us a free will, and He will not interfere with our use of it.But,as sog said,we all know inside if an act is good or bad-it's a matter of what we decide to do about it.
