Hmmm...it seems to me that if you really thought that erotic tickling is some type of immoral temptation that you have to fight, step one to quit would be to avoid places where it's being discussed. People who go to AA avoid bars and liquor stores. This shouldn't be any different.

I just don't understand why someone would go somewhere where they believe something they find immoral is embraced, especially if they're trying to avoid the temptation. But that's probably my beliefs creeping in.

Personally, as a studier of classical and modern philosophy, your inner judgment of morality is not a new issue. Nor should it scare you. However, fighting what is in your nature can lead you on a bitter, self destructive path. You are better off being open (or as open as you desire to be). After all, many of the people here share your same 'affliction'. Some of us understand your moral plight, others do not.

You must ask yourself as a child of God that if he did not mean for you to be the person you are even with your perceived faults, why did he make you the way you are?

Revboy, you didn't mention how you were sinning. Do you believe that enjoying tickling or being tickled is a sin? As others here have pointed out, tickling itself is pretty neutral, provided of course that you respect your prospective tickler/ticklee's boundaries. I myself consider it to be a gift, to be enjoyed.

If it carries sexual significance for you, consider that it's one of the most harmless common sexual variations. It doesn't transmit HIV or other nasties. It doesn't cause pregnancy. Tklvr18's posting had some solid points too.

And yes, as meangry pointed out, rebelling against a part of yourself which is ultimately harmless is a path to self-destruction or at least lots of unnecessary misery.
