To anyone who's seen this video, tell me, is it really any good? I think it's called Tickling Dick with a PI interrogating prostitues. I haven't heard anything really bad about it, but then I haven't read much about it; it's damn hard to find reviews of those old 80's-early 90's vids. So help me out, should I buy it? There's a site called game-port.com that sells all the old CalStars for fifty bucks; outrageous, but better than the seventy-to-eighty-dollar price tag I've heard tell about. Thanks.

A good video based on the middle lee. Shelby. She is always a lot of fun, and this sceen plays well. This is where the gold is on this one.

The first lee is a punk looking girl named Lira who popped up in a lot of stuff back then. She is not the most excieting lee you will meet on video tape. If you like her look it could be fun.

Desi Deangelo is the last Lee, and I've never found her that interesting as a lee.

Overall not a tape I'd pay $50 for. $20 to $25, yes, but not $50. But then if you have the cash to burn.... it's not a craptacular "Why the Hell did I buy this one! Never watch again!" either.

I use to shell out $80.00 for Cal Star videos only because they were the only game in town. I found none of them any good except the one scene from Happy Woodcutter with the Asian girl. The scene where she gets her feet tickled is great. She begins to laugh as her socks were being removed. If the dued tickling her feet would have really been a skilled tickler she would have really lost it. I think he was surprised at her ticklish feet and even kind of backs off. I always wondred how good that scene could have been if Pricella James type would have had at those soles.

Thanks for the responses. I agree that generally CalStar and Vidtech don't make overall-good videos, but individual scenes are worth saving (I dub them onto blank compilation tapes). I bought Tickling PhD not too long ago and just kept the good tickling action and left out the pathetic action and filler - of which there was a good amount, but I had to get it, because videos with black women getting tickled are rare.

Overall I'm interested in old tickling media because I wonder what it was like back before the internet revolution: who the famous (or infamous) people were in the tickling community, how you guys connected with each other, what media was available, all that stuff. I bought a few of those old photo magazines like Tickling Digest back in '97, but they're all F/F, and since then I've figured out that my preference is almost exclusively M/F (since I project myself onto the role of the tickler), and I threw them out.

Well, sorry to go off on a personal-history tangent, but thanks again for responding to my thread.

Cal-Star

I have been with Cal-Star since the Tied and Tickled series first began, and fortunately, since I live near New York City, I did not play alot for many of the ones I have watched. The video store on 8th ave between 39th and 40th sts sold them for $19.99. I have suffered thru alot of crap. They were very prolific between the late eighties thru the mid-nineties, and to this day spew out lots of crap. But the early days benefited from the fact that the videos were in the hands of a director by the name of Tony Sinclair. I would consider this their heyday. They were shot on cheap sets, not bedrooms, with costumes and plots. Yeah, they were cheesy, but something about it gave it a sordid quality that added excitement for me. T&T 14 had set-up segments were the girls were captured. This created an anticipation for me. T&T 15 was a take-off of 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' and, to me, achieved a delirium much like it's inspiration did. T&T 13 was set in ancient Rome, with girls in togas getting it. Alice in Wonderland, 1,001 Arabian Nights, Phantom of The Opera, Dr Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde, and Jack the Ripper also were used. These clips today all pretty much have a bedroom setting. They are totally reliant on the ticklishness of the girl. Some of these clips have very ticklish girls in them, but I've felt I've seen it before from a similiar girl from that site or another. Ho-hum. These old Cal-Stars set a tone which helped create a mood of anticipation (was that redundant?)
They also used girls that were very ticklish. Not all of the girls but a good deal of them. Whitney Prescott got her start here. June Bauer A.K.A. Julia Parton as well. Shelby Gower, Misty Raines, Angela Faith, Holly Rider, Greta Carlson, Kiri Kelly, Tori Sincair, Desi DeAngelo, and yes, Chelsea Pfeifer (sic) of Harmony fame were all early victims. There are many unknowns who also rose to the occaision quite often. I have a lot of videos that I like very much, and some I have thrown in the garbage. Here is my top ten list of favorite videos of all time from Calstar:

10) Tied and Tickled 3 - The double team on Debra Lee at the end is a favorite scene of mine. I also liked the blonde's scenes.
09) The Happy Woodcutter - This would rank higher if it weren't for the inclusion of Julie Juggs. I am going to go on record to say she is possibly the worst ticklee in the history of the genre. Horrible faker. Only saving grace is if you have a thing for seeing a woman with HUGE knockers being tickled. But the asian girl, Jennifer Lee, stands out in this one. Hogtie scene is outstanding.
08) Tied and Tickled 14 - Whitney's pre-boob job debut. The tickler here has gotten a lot of flack in some forums as being a horrible tickler. I disagree. He does constantly verbally tease the girls with 'gitchy-gitchy-goo's' and other nonsensical sounds. But because I don't see that in a lot of videos, and there's something perverse about tickling a grown woman making those sounds, I enjoyed that aspect of the video. And he got a lot of laughter out of these ladies. I have always thought Whitney is one of the most ticklish girls in the genre that doesn't scream (I hate screamers. I love helpless laughter and squeals) Her final scene stretched across a table nude takes this video up a notch. But Julia Parton's scenes are top-notch, too.
07) Tickling Gym - Misty Raines and Star Chandler get it from a woman tickler who is very good. Misty laid out on the floor while her feet are tied to a dumbbell gets her feet mercilessly tickled with a huge soft feather and fingernails. Incredible scene. She is also tied arms overhead to a speedbag in only panties and upperbody tickled. I fell in love with her after Harmony's amazing 'TK-7' long version, but I like her here too.
06) Fickle Finger of Fate - Shelby Gower is one of my favorite ticklees, and she stars in this video. She has a laugh that grows into a cackling hysteria.
This video could easily be last on my list. Yeah, push this one to 10. 10 thru 7 each move up one.
05) Bizarre Twist - Ariel Cole's debut. I remember thinking how beautiful this girl was before she got it. I thought, "She looks too good to be that ticklish. Another loser from Cal-Star." Boy, was I wrong. Super-ticklish. And super good looking. Total package like FM Concepts Cory Lane was (God, I miss her...). Lots of 'EEEEEEE's' between gales of laughter. And Angela Faith, too??!! I would love her if she weren't a screamer. But she is incredibly ticklish. She simply cannot stand to be touched.
04) Tied and Tickled 26 - Two of my faves in this one. Misty Raines and Angela Faith, making her debut here. Angela steals this one.
03) Tickle Chamber - In the right hands, I have always thought Greta Carlson was a good ticklee. The tickler in this one has the right hands. Non-stop tickling. But the surprise of this one is the former director of the Harmony tickling videos slumming in this one. Yes, Chelsea Pffeifer shows up here....as a victim. And she does not disappoint. She takes a brutal tickling in three scenes.
02) Tickling P.H.D. - I used to watch Anna Amore in straight porn and always wonder if she was ticklish. When I saw the box for this one I almost had a heart attack!! It's like your favorite porn star finally starring in a tickling movie. And unlike a lot of established porn stars who make a tickler and are about as ticklish as a statue, she was off the scale ticklish. Everywhere. Just constantly laughs and squirms.
01) Tied and Tickled 6 - Hands down. Weird because this was one of their 30 minute videos. But the star ticklee, who never made another for them, was one of the most ticklish women I've seen. And the guy who plays her husband was a good tickler. He moved from feet to ribs to neck back to belly within a minute. He kept the spots moving. If you wonder why some ticklers spend minutes on one body part before moving on to another, and the ticklee fails to respond well after a minute, well, that is not an issue here. He demolishes this girl. At one point she blurts out, 'Oh, it tickles so much!!', and you can tell she ain't faking. Oh, did I mention that this was the debut for the girl from 'Alien Abduction', 'The Trainer', and 'Tickling Therapy'. (she has more monikers than fingers) in a non-victim role, but also.....Shelby Gower's first role. And she gets it in one of those 'Ocean Glove' bikinis (remember those? ....this was 1988). Number One with a bullet.

I want to end this by saying that I am not someone who likes tickling to the point of unbearable torture, breaking points, etc. But I love when a girl is lost in laughter, and is allowed to rest so that she can be brought back there again and again and again.......

Great rundown, wondertickler. Yeah, I'm also interested in Tickling Chamber. I have some stills from it and the girls' reactions look genuine - though you can never be sure until you watch the thing. I, too, like CalStar's use of fantasy scenarios, it's just that they have a bad repuation of choosing good-looking but non-ticklish models to go in those scenarios.

My dream tickling video would be one where they could bring */f tickling to life, where beautiful women would be tickled by robots, malevolent plants, whatever. But I know that would be incredibly hard (and expensive) to pull off and make it good, and no one's going to shell out that much money for a niche-market fetish video.

Sometimes I think about if I make it big as a screenwriter (my creative career goal), I could put my own money into making a tickling movie: yes, a short movie shot on actual film, with good costumes and a built set and well thought-out cinematography. I know if I made it and sold copies, I'd never make back the money I spent making it, but that wouldn't matter if I was financially comfortable. The principle would be to make a great tickling video in a way that's never been done before.

Well, that's just my little dream. Thanks to everyone who's responding.

Cal Star/Tied & Tickled #6

I agree with Wondertickler that T&T #6 was INDEED Cal-Star's BEST tickle production ever. It stands to this day as one of my all-time favorites by ANY tickle producer. It is the only one of the Cal-Stars that I own 2 copies of. And at that time, I paid $50 a pop, which was a lot! It's that good.

It should be noted that unlike the vast majority of their stuff, #6 thankfully spared the viewer one PARTICULARLY annoying staple of fetish vids from that period: BACKGROUND MUSIC. So many scenes were accompanied by often silly melodies that served merely to detract from what were already marginal efforts. The Cal Star's were among the worst. But for some reason the director of #6 wisely decided to forego the music and let the actors' voices go unaccompanied. And thank goodness, because the main ticklee's helpless laughter is quite a pleasure to hear. It alone is worth the price of admission (which is why I bought 2 copies!). The then-rare background silence makes her sweet laughter sound that much sweeter and the video stand that much taller among its peers.

I'd say that, though it certainly wouldn't fulfill your desire to see a machine or plant tickler scenario, it would definitely enhance your TK collection. Put it this way: by today's standards $50.00 is way too much to pay for any fetish video, let alone a Cal-Star. But, if you run across T&T #6 I could almost recommend shelling out that much dough. It is a really good TK vid, as good as virtually any you could name today, and a BRIGHT flash-in-the-pan for the infamous Cal-Star.

Oh, and incidently: I also own #23 and as Wondertickler stated, it's decent but definitely not worth 50 bucks. Your money would be much better spent on the #6 if you see it, trust me.

Sounds intriguing, but could somebody describe T&T number 6 for me, the story (or rather, I should say situation) and whatnot? There used to be a huge online fetish video store that had synopses and vidcaps of all the Cal-Stars, but it's gone now.

Be glad to give you a rundown on T&T 6. A married couple is lounging around in their living room reading periodicals. He daydreams of tickling his wife, hence the first three scenes. She is in bra and panties, and a garter belt. I think Tony Sinclair gave away his British background by having these girls wear garters in CalStar videos. Anyhoo, she is in a hands behind back tie with ankles tied, kind of a sitting hog-tie. He let's her have it for two scenes like this, then one scene tied nude. Back to reality, the wife keeps interrupting his daydreams with nagging ( what a surprise!! Was this the first reality show ever??!!.....just kidding, ladies!!). Then he daydreams about his sister's friend, tickling her while she's in a bikini. Then they get into a full-blown argument. Marital strife, indeed. Apparently he USED to like her meatloaf ( which is a sore point with her because apparently she likes fixing it. Can't ya fix something else?? Jeez...) So they attend his sister's friend's birthday party, which just consists of the couple, the sister, and her friend. For a hot chick, she sure doesn't have a lot of friends! After giving her some birthday spanks, he decides they should tickle her. The three have a tickle fight on the couch while his wife looks on from another chair. Then the siblings wrestle the friend onto a coffee table and double team her. What fun. They ask the wife to join in and she declines. What a kill-joy!!
So when the party disperses, his sister and her friend complain about the wife not ever wanting to have any fun. So they invite her over another day, and they proceed to tie her up on her back arms overhead and legs elevated. These gals really know their bondage!! (woo-woo!) They light her up. Possibly one of the most brutal double-teams on record. Relentless. She is absolutely on the verge of crying when they finish. They make her promise to be more fun for her husband. She agrees. Now the next scene has possibly the best set-up in tickle video history. She is lying on the floor in a hogtie, with the same lingerie she had on in the first scene. ( That guy must have been a psychic. He knew which lingerie she would be in when she was going to get it, unless, she wears the same lingerie all the time. Maybe she has a whole drawer full of the same stuff like the Flintstones or the Simpsons. I don't know... ) Now the kicker is, they put a sign on her that read, "I'm Ticklish, Try me". So he bounds thru the door and sees her, thinking she is in trouble. Then he sees the sign.....Wow. MARRAIGE SAVED!! WIFE IS CURED!! CUBS WIN!!!!!
He then proceeds to live out his fantasy of tickling his wife bound in the same lingerie he always dreamed about. At the end he asks if she likes it, and ...she does. She then asks if he'll eat her meatloaf ( Maybe I'm missing something..is that a code word for oral sex or something? Or does she really make crappy meatloaf. It's really not hard to make....) He agrees to choke it down, and they live happily ever after......One of the greatest videos ever made. And P.S., I paid $50.00 for it about 14 years ago, and it's still worth it.

Actually, while I loved Michelle Bauer in T&T 1 & 2, my favorite was T&T 11, where 3 girls audition for a tickling video. The first girl is worth the price of the tape as she is obviously very ticklish under her arms.

I have seen Tied and Tickled 1 and 2, all the way thru, and Michelle Bauer is 100% without a doubt ticklish. I'd say a 7 out of 10. The scene where she is tied to the bed in 1 is the best scene. You have to see her 'squirm reaction' to his touch. Doesn't help he's a lousy tickler, but she is definitely trying to avoid his fingers. In 2, the scene in the living room, right before he bangs her (yes, number two had a sex scene, people) she is rolloing around on the floor trying to get away. While she was on her back, he concentrates on her belly for a few seconds, and it must have been intense for her because she almost flips over onto her stomach to avoid further tickling. 1 is worth it for the last scene with the blond stretched out on the bed in panties being double-teamed.

Little Help?

A long time ago ... when I first started going to 'adult stores' to locate tickle- material , I came across a Cal Star video that compiled a lot of tickling scenes from several different videos , kinda like a 'best-of' tape .... called "Tied & Tickled Classics" ( I can't remember if it was Vol. 1 , 2 , or 3 ). Anyway , whichever one it was had some scenes in it from a video called ( I think ) "The Tickle Bandit" or "The Tickling Bandito" or something like that. There was a quick little scene of a woman tied to a well ..... she was facing the well , w/her legs spread out on each side of it ..... the 'bandit' comes up & tickles her bare feet at one point w/a twig or something that he finds on the ground , & let me tell you ... she goes absolutely friggin' nuts! The laughter that spews forth from her mouth was magical! I'm not sure if the scene on the original tape was longer or not , but I've been trying to locate this video for quite some time. Does anyone know which volume of the "Tied & Tickled" series this was? I've only seen that scene once but I'd be willing to buy the whole tape just for that one little part.

My Two Cents

T&T 30 is exceptional. Holly Ryder is maybe the MOST ticklish model I've ever seen. And the blonde along side her seems to be pretty ticklish, too. Lots of UB, which is my preference.

Tickling Competition. The first woman in the vid isn't ticklish at all. The second one, a blonde doesn't appear to be until touched on her side. She does nuts, and from that point on, the tickler exploits it without mercy. The last scene has the blonde tied down to a coffee table with her hands over her head. She laughs uncontrollably, and you can see the tears forming in her eyes. Mascara runs and everything.

Just some suggestions.
