tick tock tick tock
goes the time sweeping 'round the clock
goes the seconds passing through the day
till i've got nothing left to say
its been like 1 week, 7 hours,
12 minutes, and maybe 4 seconds
that's about how long since
my lips last tasted yours, i reckon
but i'm just guessin'
who the fuck cares about the time
during any second of any hour
when your body isn't mine
when i can't wrap my lips
or legs around you
when i can't make my love
surround or astound you
oh how you confound me
and i drown deep inside this
frown, so upside down
when you're not around me
wish i could touch you brief
to have a moment just
to let you know
my need for you runs deep
can't you invade my sleep?
have your way with me
for days and days
and bring me pleasant dreams?
time is the enemy
but i will fight it till i
can make you mine

OoooOoooooo...love the staccato rhythm to this Myth! I can almost see and hear you spitting this out in some low lit beatnik poetry cafe. Lurves it! That beat just echoes the words of your impatience and I can hear the clock in every line just teasing and torturing you with each second that passes. *runs off to read all the others you've posted since I've been away* 😀
